Likewise with trains that terminates Rowley Regis have to go ECS to Langley Green to start. The points are not clear for passenger use. 

The Rowley Regis crossover has been traversed by at least one Service Train, take three guesses as to how I know ;-)

@Tony have the electircs got a longer wheelbase than the Platinums/61XX buses? I was in Solihull on Saturday night outside O'Neill's watching the buses turning right into the town centre and they seemed a tighter fit than the others.

They're certainly a 'tighter fit' downstairs at the back, couldn't believe the lack of space (my first time venturing there on a PB X3 earlier, usually go upstairs, or at the front for short hops). Seriously ridiculous, even a shortar$e would get a free serious headache trying standing up straight back there.

You won't be the only one with a smallish Camera out tomorrow, but I'll be on the 56 at some point - being more interested in Rugby (sport, not location) & the beer afterwards

I will miss travelling on these on the East Birmingham routes

Isn't the 97A subsidised by the Airport/TFWM as well? I noticed over the last 2 weeks as well, they seem to have be allocating the 97/97A majority Platinum, rather than the older E400/Tridents.

Yes quite a few. Solent coaches closed the depot at the airport and moved into the new premises acquired from yellow buses in 2022. Not sure which routes but there is approx 60 vehicles there.

Luckett operate up to 100 vehicles from there. However, Solent have just the one disc & no known vehicles. A quick snippet from my lists:

The licence is for just one vehicle & there are no Coaches currently recorded with them.

I'm sure I've read on here that route branding has been proven to increase patronage by x% (I can't remember the actual number). Would a smarter livery with effective use of colourful vinyls, like for example the 68/19 plate Platinums (50, 9, X10, 82/87, 16 branded etc) not therefore in theory generate sufficient additional patronage to more than pay for the additional paint cost? Each bus would only need to carry a few extra passengers a year.

I can't imagine the current single dark grey scheme does much to attract new users.

The only redeeming feature of that bloody awful 'livery' is that it's NOT (at the moment) plastered with route branding.

I hope that the penny pinching isn't going to be blown on a bulk purchase of green fablon ...

Things such as this poster (pic taken last Friday at Lichfield Bus Station) suggesting that The Knot ticket is valid on the X12, and 30912 seemingly devoid of legal lettering, doesn't exactly project the Company in the best light either.
