Quote from: MasterPlan on November 06, 2024, 07:49:48 AMBoth electrics going out of City this morning showing X21 University for QE Hospital instead of Bartley Green. Is it just that they didn't have the Uni destination programmed before?
The uni blinds will be there in the destination controller as its just a file from a computer. There are some uni boards that turn short at the uni in peak times to help the hospital workers

6856 - Had this little gem on the X12 earlier this morning, yeah in typical ADL fashion there was a bit of rattling coming from the cab area but she had a decent turn of pace when needed

7529 - completely different kettle of fish, yeah she could get a shift on when needed. Usual rattles and squeaks from the cab but the doors seemed to take an age to open and close

Quote from: Justin Tyme on December 26, 2023, 11:10:04 AMGood to see 4393 out on the 49 this Boxing Day morning.

I presume YW drivers still like Tridents? There are others out as well today.
As drivers we get allocated a vehicle so there is no choice as such it's whatever is allocated to even out the mileage.

Quote from: Jay71 on December 09, 2023, 09:03:18 PM4747(80)  091223 Was due to leave Upper Dean St @ 2030. Arrived at 2045, changed destination screen to West Bromwich. At 2051 the driver changed his screen to NIS.  I find this most strange
Most likely instructed by garage to run out of service to somewhere further along the route to pick time back up at a timing point or driver might have been running close to his driving hours so instructed to run to his relief point, I can only assume these are the possible cases from a drivers perspective

Quote from: spacecowboy150 on November 11, 2023, 08:01:36 PMWhat revs are the BX13s limited to before changing gear?
Some change about 1900RPM and some change at about 1700RPM I wouldn't say they are "limited" to any RPM just what the gearbox software decides is necessary for the load being put through it

Probably still parked up in the garage awaiting some panels, I presume this is the case because it was there when I left for my weeks holiday

Quote from: GoldenSquid on November 06, 2023, 03:04:55 PMIn AG, the mmcs could move fully onto the 17 and have the 73 maybe become e200mmc has a decent load but could still handle singles or even move to over depots to replace older singles.
If you are referring to E400MMCs on the 17 then it would require a complete reroute of the 17 at tile Cross as both bridges are below 14 feet

Quote from: Stu on October 25, 2023, 07:06:37 PMMaybe those people need the 60 or X2 instead of the X1?
Possibly but I tend to see it at King's Road going towards city with a lot that board my vehicle also getting off in the city centre

I have noticed that on my morning duties when following the X1 more often then not passengers are boarding my bus (60) and the X2 if its behind a X1, now I'm not sure if that's due to the bus being full or if passengers are looking at the front and seeing National Express Coventry and unsure if they can catch it or not. I guess these things will take time for everybody to get used too, still it's nice seeing a different vehicle down the A45 and most of the CV drivers give me a cheery wave as we pass each other

Quote from: Owen on September 21, 2023, 09:31:12 PMMaybe a route that's uses b5lh like the 45/7 (presumably) ?
We are all type trained on the B5LH at BC and the B7s have the same control layout so in theory they could be used on any service out of BC

Quote from: Tony on September 17, 2023, 10:00:06 PMEnd of argument please.

Buses have routine servicing done on pits as well as defects repaired.

The photos I've seen were taken from the street
Perhaps you could shed a bit of light on the 101 branded enviro that's in the engineering bays at BC, engine repairs or? Only reason I ask is I have seen it when going up to Adderley Street in the mornings to pick up my allocated vehicle
