The following is planned.

Friday 30 December
Leyland Olympian F96PRE will operate the following:
X12 0930 Burton to Sutton Coldfield
X12 1033 Sutton Coldfield to Burton
X12 1430 Burton to Sutton Coldfield
X12 1538 Sutton Coldfield to Burton

Saturday 31 December
Most journeys on route 21 will be operated by our Routemaster, F96 and TOJ592S.

All subject to vehicle availability.

When the X55 started it was 15 mins apart from the Arriva service. It was Arriva who moved in front first so I Central followed suit.

Possibly. Wasn't exactly in normal service though. It did do 2 hours on the Lichfield local services a few weeks back when there was a problem with the Enviro. That will have been the last thing it did.

TOJ lives though and has just had a partial engine rebuild so will still be out on occasions next year.

Intend to run it on X12 on the 31 December though.

The engine has expired on the Spectra in a big way. The DLA has been purchased to donate its engine (and it's X441 not 438, that's the one at Arriva Burton!) but will run it in the short term. So don't worry, it's in good hands. Shows as a warning that the purchase price of a bus for preservation is most certainly the cheap part!

71 and 72 both withdrawn for scrap.

This weekend sees the first day of operation of a Sunday service on route 9 between Burton and Swadlincote. Subject to availability we will be running the whole day with our Routemaster. Normal fares apply and link to timetable is below:

Central buses with both the X55 and 66 ran on the opposite 15 minutes to Arriva. Arriva just re registered 5 minutes in front! Where's the incentive to balance the service there?

Surely only the Traffic Commissoner can suspend or revoke just the vocational part of a driving licence. A DVSA officer could only report the matter.
