8 of 10 new vehicles now in service. Just YX74 OOE/OPV stil to be prepped to enter service. OOC/D have both entered service this week. 

Presumably just the newer vehicles, so they are compliant with the new regulations?

Yes, some of the fleet is also due to be replaced so not worthwhile retrofitting. 

When did landflight get announcements onboard their buses?

September, although not fitted to all of the fleet. 

Does anyone know what bus did the 1620 A8, I forgot to log it on busmiles - and it didn't track on bustimes.

It was PFJ. Looks like the driver logged the incorrect trip to begin with. 

The 2nd one has started a journey from Kings Heath, still only 2 on route now.

I believe there is 3 buses on there, with one not tracking. Now 2 buses showing on 41. Looking at journeys operated on Bus times for 41 yesterday, there was not much of a service, similar to how today started! 

Any updates regarding maps and timetables for A9 or any Birmingham mentioned on the Stagecoach website with 9 days to go!

They have been route learning the last couple of days, but Twitter suggests still numerous journeys not operating on their current routes...

Had the metrocity double decker on the X20 this afternoon. YJ70EWD.
Notice TFWM have removed the X20 number from nearly every single flag between Solihull and Hockley Heath aswell as the X50 number, so all those flags are going to need to be replaced again now.  Looked like it came out as a change bus.

Flags in Solihull town Centre also been updated with 82 to Coventry...

Are the roadworks at Sheldon still causing havoc? They were last week the chelmsley wood bound 72s were getting caught up in it as the roadworks started a few 10 yds after the major junction with the A45 and lode lane

RTC on A45 near Arden Oak caused delays to most services in Sheldon today! 

There's been a serious RTC near the Arden Oak Harvester, the Coventry Road is closed both ways. X1 diverting Hobs Moat Road, Lode Lane, Moat Lane, Cornyx Lane, Damson Lane and Damson Parkway

It seem the diversion was changed to operate via Valley Rd, although one got lost and ended up on Eden Road in the early hours this morning!

If they were suspended, then it must've only started on the Friday, as I did see one of the full white ones on the 604 route on Thursday afternoon as I was heading back to my work base.

Bustimes.org tracking is showing a number of them last tracking on Thursday, with nothing tracking on Friday. But, as you've said they don't tend to run on Good Friday.

Looks like it was just because of the Bank Holiday - West Midlands Network twitter posted services suspended until further notice has been updated to show they will be running normally today!

£130 / day per bus equals to £10 / hour based on a 13 hour operation per day


Compared to the 1 in Coventry, which has been awarded to NX on the basis of £530 per day, which is £265 per day per vehicle, which is roughly £20 / hour.

Twice the cost of the 28A.

£10 an hour for the 28A seems ridiculously cheap to me. Are the passenger numbers that great on the 28A?

@Matt.N0056 maybe it has been reduced, yeah. Does anyone have access to the previous figures for the 28A showing how much subsidy Diamond were awarded?

@MW Used to have a handful or regulars around Small Heath, and would pick up between Heartlands & Ward End if there wasn't an NX28. Saturdays were pretty quiet
