Many years ago the Handsworth troubles were well documented in the local
and national press.  when one evening a guy in his mid twenties met his
untimely demise in Newtown Row. As a true christian his ascension to heaven was almost
immediate. On his arrival at heavens gate he was greeted by St Peter who
checked his life credentials.  "I see you have led an honest life but you have never
shown an act of kindness.or bravery?.. said St Peter...The guy was quick to respond
and told him that he had witnessed a group of thugs raping a young girl in the park
much to her obvious distress . he immediately  approached these guys and threatened to inform the police and have them all arrested!...  that was very brave! said St peter.....  " When did this happen? ....   About 5 minutes ago said the guy........

My mate and his Mrs had never missed a home Villa match for over 10 years.
sad to relate he lost his Mrs to cancer recently. when he asked me to accompany him
to the Man U game on Sunday I was glad to accept her ticket but When I suggested there
must have been another family member who would have appreciated the spare ticket?
he said...there would have been..... but they'll all be at her funeral on Sunday......

Quote from: Tony on September 30, 2024, 12:57:00 PME232 has now entered service at Coventry and has just left Birmingham on the X1
I noticed E239 had been transferred to Coventry in July this year?  Is it still at Coventry or has it returned to Yardley wood?

can anyone tell me if/when H1009 will ever be back in service or if its just not trackable at present??  thanks

is there any particular reason why both the  H  vehicles   1008   and  1009  have no apparent tracking information ?  there appears to be a pic of 1008 featured in July
in use on a walsall service

I saw E219 on a 33 service today (Wednesday) on finchley road around 15 24pm
It was not on a tracking list and unexpected As she was one I had not previously seen
but not the first time some weeks ago I saw E205 on a schools run towards Sutton
Followed by several other E series all of which were not on the tracking list
Can I assume that vehicles in use for school runs need not be tracked??

Also are the vehs numbered from E251 upwards  likely to be allocated to Yardley Wood?

can anyone tell me if the original electro demo bus (4798) is still in the hands of WM or has it been returned to the manfctr?

I was given a list of (pres) new vehicles which have been/will be allocated to the
WM Fleet   I cant see any reference to these vehs on tony list(s)
The number series I was given ran from  38-04  YP17 FLH  up to 53-135 YS65  ATN

there appears to be  a total of 20 Vehs allocated to Aston   (Park Lane )

Most of the registrations appear to be Local  are they genuine or previously withdrawn?

I found an old lamp in an antique shop last year. As I started to polish it a genie appeared
and offered me  one wish.... I had a choice... either a long dick or a long memory....
....I cant remember where I bought it........
