Barry, with the upmost respect I still think you are missing the point, and I have not certainly said on here I don't expect Arriva to retaliate to these small independent company's I am merely saying that Arriva need to expect a reaction from small companies if they do things across them which is clearly happening.

Also I think you are taking comments too seriously this is an Internet forum not a formal meeting ?! and to be honest I think most people have got better things too do. But as for the loithan comments this is what I refer this too was an off hand remark which has sparked you off. I was having a conversation with winston.I only add the odd comments where I will state the facts about sbs which normally get interpreted wrong.

Barry, I think you missed the point. What I was trying to say obvously if Arriva keep giving competition they need to expect it back? Also if It was the case why won't they go on Natex routes?
Barry, loithan, ....................
Barry, wardle was fine until Arriva got their hands on it ?
Barry, also poking the wasp nest ? Clearly this is what they are doing to small companies

The other odd things with the loithan darts are they are run with add blue so they are euro 4 and they have double glazed windows. Loithan just seemed to spend a lot of OFF HAND COMMENT REMOVED

Yes loads better. You are right about the earlier ones as we have one. Although we haven't had problems with the body, we have had problems with gearboxes, the cummings b series and Alison World Series combination either seems to work nice or completely goes wrong, also it has electrical issues but I think sometimes it's luck of the draw. We might DDA v509 but only if we can get the issues sorted

Undecided yet To be honest maybe the loithan darts or enviros. As a lot of the older darts will have to go due to DDA, the only old darts staying planned is Y705 and T442. But the newer darts with Isb engines seem a lot more reliable, basically the loithan darts we have just bought are very similar to enviros mechanically. I think we might need some more additions tbf

Yes Bob plus their are other occurrences ie the service 23 and others.

Also I will make a comment, many operators over the years have tried new routes but yet when these look successful Arriva just time buses in front like James said or start new routes to compete so their is sometimes no point doing new routes as they want everything for themselves ridiculous!

Winston it looks like that lol

Thanks tony, Winston and James. BUS MAN 99 can you explain why in the five years select bus have operated Brewood Arriva have timed buses in front of them 4 times ???? and they think it is acceptable ? Also can you explain why Arriva constantly keep saying they can do routes commercially when they can not just to get operators off routes it's madness ! So now Select is doing the same thing why is this wrong? Arriva are the ones who keep creating the problem no one else !

Select have covered this route since 2010, who work closely with Staffordshire county council not centro.
We give out leaflets and the total this year is around 5000, the are a grouped together leaflet which include D&G and Midland Classic. They are available from Staffordshire county council and most of the time available off the bus.

One day you never know we may become a 'name' operator, its called 'growing' a business.

I just hope national express do well and provide a good service as I think they will and can

Yep, but as I've said before I'd rather have a 'name' run the route.

Unless you search online or live on route, how would you know of Select?

I only know of Select through being on here.

Let's face it, your average punter will drop into the Travelshop looking for a timetable leaflet & unless the person behind is knowledgable, you're stuck!

Have you ever seen a Select leaflet?

I don't recall seeing one in Wolves Travelshop, but they print off the Arriva's anyway!

Another thing as well, was the 76 doing ok at it's previous garage, as now it's moved to Wednesfield, we're hearing about withdrawal's already!

Yes I am fully aware of the guide and the laws surrounding it, the holder on that e200 is a standard fitting. We use the ash tree ones which are rubber inserts which are a really good design as they protect the disks from damp, especially when they are 4 years old!
We have just started using this e200 and it so far has not been fitted with items which are standard in our fleet, plus we are having new ticketed machines so these will be fitted soon.
The licence disk is being put at the front of the bus in the windscreen on the dash board unless the dashboard sits on the roof? so it is visible from the front screen, NOT the side glass, but it is clearly visible, clearly you looked at the standard holder which will be removed, any way the standard holder is not in the windscreen its in the side screen so surely they are in the wrong place, with what you have stated.

The driver was on his brake at the time, all I can say is that you have mostly looking just at the side screen to come to your assumption rather than looking at the windscreen. Or it may have dropped down but I doubt that as I checked it tonight.

The new holders will be fitted this Sunday when it is due an inspection.

All I ask is for factual comments which a lot of people here do but their are some who dont, I will say in these forum rules it does state that slanderous information is not allowed and clearly this happens.

I am a bus enthusiast myself so i understand why people are interested, but their is a difference between an interest and critisement.

Just look at Arriva at the moment with the 75 and 76 criticise something which is affecting  passengers! I really feel sorry for them at the moment. I just hope national express do really well!

Steve,
Totally agree with your comment, it is like they couldn't care about cross boundary services and sometimes their is even a lack on knowledge about them, ie the nbus the amount of people trying to use them in Staffordshire is unreal all because of lack of information on Centros part.

Bob, we will just see what happens

Interesting question I will have a look tomorrow and email it too as mainly the returns consist of Coven, brewood or wheaton aston to wolves.

I think it's around 530 but I will have a look
