Out of the PE fleet it would be 1515,1704,1707,1743,2078,2083,2095,2154,4194,4199,4202. I see these alot and yes I have loads of buses stalking me ;D

Just came off Broad Street heading for Birmingham.

Could have still been 824 on the 120/140 or 141?

Could have been one of WBs on the 127/128/129.
(could have been one of PEs on the 9 also!)
Or could have been one of BCs on the 22, 23, 24 or 29?

::)

Saw 824 on the 120 today at Dudley ;)

Because it would be better if Rowley regis had a direct link to Merry hill like most areas instead of everybody trying to cram onto the 4M. Just a couple of years ago Brickhouse farm had the following nxwm routes
238(289) Merry hill-West Bromwich
258 Merry hill-Birmingham
404H Walsall-Merry Hill
That is direct links to Merry hill, Birmingham, Blackheath, West Bromwich Old Hill, Cradley Heath, Oldbury, Bearwood etc. Direct links to shopping places were much better back then. To be honest Brickhouse farms bus routes are not as good as they used to be. Lets not keep talking about this. Has anybody seen 2099 lately because I have only seen it once in service.

Am I right saying the X96 is now fully B7RLE operated now? Because I have not seen a merc on the X96 in ages.

Does anybody know why the 289 does not serve merry hill or cradley heath anymore. Because I think that was a stupid idea to do. Because now I have to walk to the other side of Brickhouse farm to Rowley regis hospital to catch the 4M. Its a 15 mins walk and in the freezing cold it is not pleasant  >:(

This has been debated on here before and if i remember rightly, it may be to aid the punctuality of the 53 which it interworks with.

However i think it was a quite daft idea, everytime i see it (especially with deckers on it) its virtually empty.

I agree. When I see the 289 in Rowley regis it is always empty. If there is people on the 289 it is always going to west Bromwich. I wish the 289 never interworked with the 53 because people living in brickhouse farm now have to wait for the hourly 208 or walk 15-20 mins in the freezing cold to the 4M bus stop >:(

I wonder if PE will get any more B7RLE's or tridents to replace the rest of the mercs soon. Or if PE are very lucky maybe new E400's if they don't go to WA or the Birmingham garages as they always do. But I doubt new E400's will go to PE. They will probably get B7RLE's or tridents ;)

Given that PE has seen quite a bit of investment over the last couple of years, new E200s, new B7RLEs, i would expect that any vehicles that are needed for the replacement of the Mercs will come from cascading vehicles from other depots.

PE will probably get tridents from Birmingham to replace the mercs because over the last couple of months PE as had quite a few tridents join their fleet to operate the 246 service mainly plus a few on the 53/289 and the 276. Just saying it would be a change if PE got new DD instead of WA and Birmingham garages. But I agree with Pershore Rd having a upgrade. Maybe the tridents used for the Pershore road could be transferred to PE to replace the rest of the mercs ::)

What you have to remember to is that WN & WB still have Mercs as well that need replacing, so it may well be that they start replacing these before PE see any more buses, new or not so new.

Personally i think they should round up all the Mercs and send them to CV and send some of CVs deckers to replace them.  ::) ::) ::) ::)

Just imagine if that actually happened  ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

I have noticed that have started removing the £3.90 daysaver advertising from B7RLE's and Omnilinks presumably down do fare increases in January

I just saw a B7RLE from my window going past on the 241 without the £3.90 ad.

Well most B7RLE's at WN have had them removed but I have seen some B7RLE's at PN with it removed too

Yeah some PE B7RLE's have had it removed. You can see still see where the ad's were.

241 is running in pairs tonight it seems, just saw 2100 and another B7 in convoy

When coming home today the 241 was 25 mins late when it arrived. I think it was 2089. When I got on the jammed packed 241 a late 140 (2154) pulled up in front of us and then 3 mins from Dudley another 241 overtook us. I think it was 2100. So there was a 140 plus 2 241's from Rowley regis-Quinton  running in pairs. Might explain why there was 2 241's running in pairs. Probably because of one road when it was the 140 (Hagley road) ;)

That's a different pair to the one I saw, 2100 was defo the one running late, was on the 15:23 from Dudley but arrived in Halesowen at 16:35 with the 15:53 right behind

The 241 I was supposed to catch was the 15:23 too. ;D Unless 2089 was the one on time and 2100 was the late one ;)
