Surely not suggesting that NXWM aren't going for top spec vehicles? Reality is that we all know the answer to that in the current circumstances. Given that savings are being achieved on livery costs highly unlikely that top spec vehicles are on the agenda!

Ok nuff said. It'll be here when it's here.

Shame really. Heart of NXWM operations. Would have been good to have a pristine vehicle on display.

Just been having a read of details of suppliers and operators who will, in some form, be present at the exhibition at the NEC in a few days time. Many psv operators will be there with vehicle orders in the pipeline and many vehicles are scheduled to be on show. Given that this premium exhibition is here in the West Midlands was somewhat surprised that NXWM doesn't appear to be mentioned anywhere in the exhibition details. I'm aware of the E334 rumours but doesn't appear to get a mention anywhere in the literature. Can't believe NX won't be present in any way or am I missing something?

Presumably E334 is well along the ADL construction line, or may already be available. So given the rumour that it's first appearance will be at the NEC in November will it be delivered direct to that venue or via, say, Birmingham Central, assuming of course the rumour is true.

Quote from: The Real 4777 on October 04, 2024, 02:39:02 PMGood grief. And with it the demise of the Omnicities. Well, at least we've got a virtuous and utterly standardised fleet in their place.

And thus dies my PB bus interest. R.I.P.
Sad that for PB it will be a case of seen one seen 'em all! Still we can spend time hunting down E334.

Presumably E334, when delivered, will be the last of the current order for EV's. What comes next in the context of EV's or will there be a pause for NXWM to catch its breath?

Might have been asked previously but any news on when E334 might arrive in West Midlands? Going to be a much photographed arrival.

Quote from: Tony on August 12, 2024, 06:13:54 PMYou are not correct. Zenobe don't lease specific vehicles,  they lease a fixed number of vehicles and Zenobe can request a swap at any time, so not giving chance to return the vehicle to stock livery

The rules with Zenobe are they must be just one 'neutral' colour. The other operator using Zenobe is Newport who are all over lime green
So what constitutes a 'neutral' colour? Surely depressing 'grey' isn't the only colour that complies with that rule. Lime green for a start.

How many single deck ev's have been on demo with NXWM? Any thoughts on leading contenders?

Yes well Andy Burnham is going to have a field day with his expectations of funding from the new Government which in all probability will be met. In the meantime our mayor, whose name escapes me, appears to be deferring all progress on transport schemes for the West Mids, with the probable exception of his beloved bus franchising, subject to a review of all those schemes which probably won't be completed before the next mayoral election. Looks like Manchester can flourish while the West Mids can put up with what they already have. Come back Andy asap!

Thanks Tony but have I missed something? Why is E275 a 'repaint'?

Quote from: Stu on June 22, 2024, 04:32:59 PMNot this year.

No, as Tony has already stated, this current delivery of BYD EVs for NX Bus will be the last ones that ADL produce.

So what and where will NXWM source their future electrics from?
