Not to mention the Birmingham Treatment Centre and Birmingham Eye Hospital being located on the same plot!

Bus crash in Eastleigh leaves more than a dozen injured. Goes without saying, I hope they make a speedy recovery. Incidentally, the vehicle involved in former National Express 4818 (BX09 PGF).

'Master Drivers' are an accreditation given to drivers at National Express who are recognised for their exemplary driving/safety record/customer service.

The blind does not display properly. Having tinkered with the Hanover software in the past, my guess is the selected font does not have all its letters drawn out in the display editor.

Quote from: Stu on June 15, 2025, 10:05:19 PMWhile travelling home on 6102 on the 11A this evening, I noticed that some kind of black mask film has been applied to the top of the front upper windscreen.

Could this be some preparation for having a next-stop display screen being installed?
7506 has the same.

My guess is that it has had a replacement upper windscreen. It'll just be what the glass suppliers had at hand at the time of replacement. The aperture looks similar to the glass that Lothian uses with their tri-axle Enviro400XLB models.

I have seen a Facebook comment which says it's tracking as 20887. Would anyone be able to confirm that that's still the case?

Quote from: frostjay974 on May 11, 2025, 05:42:46 PMSo what is it there for? Driver familiarisation?
Would seem likely. They have 24 Enviro400EVs on order.

Happy to be corrected, but that livery predates Timesaver does it not? I thought it was the Dual Purpose livery introduced in the Wumpty era

Saw E273 passing Aston Lane earlier on, presuming its headed for Yardley Wood. This had been the resident engineering training vehicle at Perry Barr for the past few months.

Quote from: CL on March 11, 2025, 05:09:48 PMWould be counterproductive having a vehicle with no means of charging it presently.

The new Enviro400EVs are equipped with AC charging ports; the current BYD fleet use DC chargers.

Not that this is the sole reason for its delay, but I can't imagine it helps matters.
A singular CCS charging unit has been installed at Perry Barr, although has not yet been commissioned for use.

Quote from: RW on March 11, 2025, 03:54:55 PMStill no sign of E334. Just wondering whether ADL have accepted that WMNX are not putting all their new electric 'eggs' in the same basket and have decided not to bother with a 'seed' demonstrator at this point in time. Time will tell.
