QuoteSorry, being a mere simple person I do not understand the relevance of the last post.
Basically, that from Companies house states that TfWM and Dudley MBC were, as at 07/07/2025 16:34 the owners of Dudley Very Light Rail Innovation Centre

QuoteThe 96 was an Igo service & before that diamond I think.
Thurlstone Road/Ulleries Road is today served by the 631 (previous A15/S16).
The S16 started of as a minibus service run by Igo using vans running on Friday only I think iirc
Yes, the S16 used the Ring and Ride fleet

And some of the routes have had their tender docs merge, so theoretically they're new tenders in that way as some were 1 early morning, and then the rest Eves and Sun, so TfWM occasionally put them on 1 spec.

Ironically the Dudley 18 is two different tender specs, as the E&S is interworked with the 81, which during the day is its own tender as well as thats on the WN53

QuoteCouple of updates have been added to the TfWM Service Changes page:
https://www.tfwm.org.uk/plan-your-journey/ways-to-travel/buses-in-the-west-midlands/upcoming-bus-service-changes/

Looks like the 46/46A and 169 services are to be withdrawn.

For the 46/46A it just states at present:
"From 20th July, these services will be withdrawn and replaced by services operating a revised route and/or timetable."

It would appear that the 48 is going to be extended further, from Northfield to Frankley, as a result of the 46/46A withdrawal.

The 61 service is also being revised:
"From 20th July, this service will operate a revised route and timetable. It will no longer serve Egghill Lane, Borrowdale Road/Norrington Road, Trescott Road, or Hoggs Lane and instead operate directly via Frankley Beeches Road.

This withdrawn section of the route will now be covered by the revised Service 27"

Service 169:
"From 20th July, this service will be withdrawn and replaced by services operating a revised route and/or timetable."

These look like theyve disappeared from the website

QuoteGuessing there could be an error here somewhere. I'm guessing either the 27 will cover the Northfield to Hawkesley link and the 48 will go to Frankley maybe.

Also the A9 would be the only Birmingham route still to run from Rugby it it remains unchanged?
Edit - I forgot for a minute, there is the 41 also as well.

QuoteVehicles have to have fleet numbers that haven't been used since the current engineering system was implemented in the 1990s, so includes many Lynx and Metrobuses. Using the E and H allows for repeats in this system, but we can't have two current vehicles with identical numbers ignoring the letters because the radio and ticket machines don't recognise letters, so you can't have an E001 and an H001 in use at the same time as they would both be just 1 to the radio and ticket machine.

When the current system for diesels was introduced the smaller the bus the lower the fleetnumber, so basically less than 30 seats were 201 to 500, 31-40 seats were 501 to 1000. Large single decks were 1001 upwards, low floor doubles were 4001 upwards, Hybrids were 5001 upwards, bending were 6001 upwards. When all 4xxx were used doubles moved to spare 6xxx
Does that mean that the ex Dundee and London fleet numbers can't be used for new vehicles?

Helen Weir, Chair, commented: "Ignacio has worked tirelessly on behalf of Mobico and, on behalf of the Board, I would like to thank him for his contribution. With the sale of North  America School Bus concluded, and our full-year results announced, we agreed with Ignacio that now was the right time for a change in leadership."

Ignacio Garat, CEO, said: "The last two years have not been without their challenges as we have had to respond and adapt to a series of market headwinds. However, I'm proud of the role our 51,500 employees carry out each and every day to help support our customers and the communities they serve. It has been a privilege to work alongside the team."

Phil White added: "We must now focus on building a business that is fit for the future. Working alongside the Board and leadership team, my priorities as Executive Chair will be to accelerate the pace of operational and financial improvements, appoint a  CEO for Mobico's next chapter and to ensure that the value inherent in the Group's portfolio is better reflected."

QuoteI am not sure of the stops.  I have asked the Commercial / Depot team.

I am advised their isn't a bus stop at this location.  They have checked the contract and it is likewise quite vague.  Based upon this, they shouldn't as things stand be picking/dropping off there.

Simon
Hi Simon,

I believe that it was custom for drivers to stop there, as, although there was never a stop there, Hansons drivers treated that section as Hail and Ride as there was no alternate stop in Wollaston originally for the 250/251 services when they were launched in the mid 2000s, same as Norwood Road in Brockmoor.

QuoteLooks like WN 15 is being cut and running between Wombounre and Merry Hill only and the 15A being withdrawn

Looks like its going to go the way of the 261 then... death by a thousand cuts

QuoteIt has always been a very busy road. But the parking times were strictly and regularly enforced. Now it's park when you want where you want and a 'traffic warden' are a very rare sight.
That's because Traffic Wardens got replaced by Civil Enforcement Officers

Rotala / Re: Diamond West Midlands - Kidderminster
March 12, 2025, 11:48:18 PM
QuoteReally interesting set of changes in April. As per the latest info on the Diamond website.  The 1 in intriguing showing a big gap in the morning peak.

https://www.diamondbuses.com/media/5836/1-timetable-200425.pdf

Every 30 minutes except when a "9-5 worker" needs it.  Arrivals into Kidderminster 07:47 and then 09:07.  Is this because there is an alternative service in that slot, an error or just simply because the priority is elsewhere - I.e. schools and not standard office/retail workers.

In the evening a gap from 14:45 to 16:00 from Kidderminster.  For those working in the bus sector these gaps probably makes perfect sense, from an office/ retail workers perspective, it makes the car an inevitable option. But maybe they are not the target market.
Unless its because the bus is doing a Schools run between those times?
