Nobody seems to know why the 5 electrified Streetdecks haven't returned. 
Why haven't all the other conversions (bar 2) gone back into service elsewhere ?

Mayor apparently seems to think there isn't any Night buses in the West Midlands hmm NX running to 11PM Midnight or even 2/3AM isn't a night Bus then forgetting the 24hr X1, 97, he says he wants to introduce them. If this for areas like Cannock, Shropshire or even some of the smaller areas outside of the major towns and cities, I don't think they are going to work because they are not economically viable no point running a bus with just the driver if the company can't pay the driver's or the Diesel. Most NX Services finish at 11/Midnight and usually have 1 to 2 people on on a Weekday. Have seen the last 37 terminate at Darlaston before and about 5 to 6 people got off maybe more. The 34 passing it had about 2  people on and the 79 that came in had about 4 people on with 2 getting of at Darlaston. Unless I have understood this wrong we have Night services maybe not London level but when I tell people in the sticks our last bus is at Midnight or Quarter past 11 they get jealous as there Last Bus is at 5 or 6PM

11 or 12 isn't particularly late for such a major area - Nottingham and Leicester have regular buses just as late.

Has the depot been fitted out with the necessary charging equipment ?

Yes they are very short, I believe they are the 8.9m version which would make them the same length as the circleline solos. They probably would be good for the 162, and I'd imagine they will get used sometimes. I wouldn't be surprised if they regularly sneak into other routes too like those solos sometimes do.

I was thinking they might go for a Yutong E9L for the 162 when they electrify it. I believe it will be a council-owned EV since it's a tendered route, and they already own a number of Yutongs of other varieties

I'm led to believe they're getting 2 electric buses for the 74 and the rest will be Evoras. Also the 74 will run alone and not be with 828

Have they now put the electrical infrastructure in the depot ??. It often has a long lead time.

The 3 that are left in sapphire livery and 158 branding were being used from Leicester depot on all sorts of routes except 158, eventually the branding was removed.
They have a record of closing depots Aylesbury and H.W the most recent

You said how long before they close more depots.....not sure why that is at all relevant unless you know something is happening (it isn't)..

Those 3 Pulsars ran for a while with 158 branding after the frequency was reduced and they were transferred to Thurmaston. Not sure it created any problems so I'm again not sure of your comments.

Are you generally anti- Arriva ? What about First or Centrebus ?

They really are poor a classic example were the 158 branded Sapphires doing ever route bar the 158.
How long before they close more depots bet Go are monitoring it closely

Can you explain that a bit more. Surely, the branded 158s were invariably on the correct route ?. What has closing depots got to do with anything - what has prompted you to raise the issue ?

Bus partnerships are only any good if they apply to the whole of the area and not just within an arbitrarily drawn part of an area which hasn't been updated in several decades and which does not account for a large chunk of the extended urban area in which many journeys originate (as in Leicester where some passengers on the affected routes now have to buy two tickets to cover their journeys where the connecting leg is on the operator that has withdrawn its service given there is no combined ticketing outside of the outdated, illogical and unfair boundary which is a substantially different distance from the city centre depending on which direction you are heading).

I thought the Leicester operators offered various forms of. ' Flex' tickets that cover other operators in the area.

Thought we were getting away from all this silliness running multiple buses over the same route from different companies, thought bus partnerships were the way forward like the one in Leicester

from running a combined every 20 mins schedule, to arriva running its own 20 min schedule and trent running its own 15 min schedule. and arriva also changing the terminus in derby to the bus station for its X38 runs. trent keeping at victoria street.

A shame that Trentbarton has been so poor on the X38. Not surprising that Arriva decided to take on all 4 workings.
