I was waiting for a Transport for Wales service the other day in Birmingham new street to Birmingham international and a 197 showed up was nice to trail one out. The only issue was the way it was announced at Birmingham international the service was meant to go beyond Shrewsbury to 2 other destinations so would of meant to split at Shrewsbury which we only had a 2 car class 197. it was only until we started the journey that the conductor said that this train cant go down the line past Shrewsbury weather this is a temporary thing i don't know so at Shrewsbury they had to do a set change while the 197 just did Birmingham international to Shrewsbury all day.

Does anyone have a confirmed date on when the 730/2 will start running on Birmingham services please? I've heard when they do they will be the Birmingham new street to Liverpool lime street service. i would of thought they would of put them on the Birmingham new street to London Euston services first or even the London Euston to Crewe service.

Other Operators / Re: Chaserider
June 29, 2025, 01:56:37 PM
Chaserider are on some rail replacements today i saw a Chaserider new livery Enviro 200 in Walsall Bradford Place on Rail Replacements, by looking at it they are doing Tame Bridge Parkway to rugeley Trent Valley via walsall and all stations. not too sure if its only the one bus they have on there or weather they have a few.

i can confirm the fleet of one of the E200s on the rail replacement was 496 (ex uno). however i still don't know if this was the only Chaserider vehicle on rail replacement today.

This wasn't on the 303 you've used this information on from bus times this tracking is being used for AD24 ADL the enviro 100 EV on loan.

Quote from: Wumpty on May 27, 2025, 09:34:34 AMThe inference is that, as Buslink has decent buses (see my post about fleet age), that Diamond have NO decent buses (some of which were acquired from Midland Classic, the new owners of Buslink - go figure!).

The post isn't restricted to one bus type, although the original spat started with a bus on their 22 route which has a Sprinter illesbus i-City operating this morning.
You are moaning burton have no decent buses yet rotala have just invested in some new sprinters. They are also having some brand new electric buses. And for the shiny paint work it's not as easy as just send all the buses for paint. When you send a bus for paint it's a bus less for service slowly one by one they are being repainted it's not like when diamond brought Johnson's or claribels out midland classic was a whole depot which all the buses was needed for service slowly they have been getting newer buses and buses painted. What you have to think is what Simon will probably be thinking too is it worth painting a bus which potentially may not be staying within the group. And another thing is would you rather buses go for paint and have buses missing for service (worse case scenario) the enviro 400s have started to be painted now. You've had some enviro 200s repainted some metro city's. Only thing really is the Scanias which some have been listed for sale.

2153 now in paint
Will 2153 also get the new seat design or will it remain the same due to the type of seats it has.

Is it being painted? Reason I'm asking someone's put a edit in on bustimes automatically assuming it's being painted because it's at Walsall.

Sorry if this is a stupid question but now that 4679 has been withdrawn could we potentially see a new West Brom livery appear or has it actually stopped now as I know it was said it was being stopped then 6148 was painted as a replacement for 4651 when that goes.

Quote from: Mega Kickdown on April 24, 2025, 05:33:26 PMa bit curious that 4566 has done full duties into birmingham on route 51 meaning that it recieves a £50 charge everytime it enters

does NX have some sort of exemption why 4566 can go into town
Buses and cars don't get fined each time they go in. Buses will pay a £50 charge which allows that vehicle to enter as many times all day. Cars is only £8 but any vehicle don't get charged each time they go in only one daily charge. Unless they don't pay the charge then I believe they get fined for it which I'm not too sure the price of that.

Quote from: Tony on April 23, 2025, 05:42:49 PMAt the moment you would expect to pay in the range of £10,000 to £15,000 for a euro 6 Trident, obviously that will drop as they get older still.
Ah yeah that's a decent price for national express actually as for getting money in.

Quote from: Tony on April 23, 2025, 03:20:54 PMThis year's MoT will be the last NX do on it, but it will be offered for sale as a runner unless anything major breaks on it, whether that's for preservation or an operator will depend on who wants it.
How much do you recon 4125 will sell for?
