Saw an NXWM EV today with a full rear ad, don't know which it was but I saw it on the 16 on Friary Road at about 09:20AM going to Great Barr

Quote from: Stu on January 29, 2025, 07:29:16 PMNo really, just one of many offers that NX Bus have run for years:

Oh that's cool, but it doesn't say anything about those specific routes

Is there a specific reason why you can get 30% off admission when you travel via the. 82, 87, 89 (?) and 101? as advertised on NXWM's Instagram story?

Quote from: Sandy Lane on January 24, 2025, 01:23:51 PMWasting taxpayers money then. TfWM need to sort this out surely?
No, dude you're only 20 miles out, not 200, it's not a problem, especially when TfWM covers *ALL* of the West Midlands, Coventry included. As I said before, I've literally seen more ads in Birmingham talk about Coventry routes than I have Birmingham routes, it's not as big a problem as you're trying to make it out to be, if a problem at all, it's a TfWM ad and it serves its purpose well. Would you be saying the same for an ad about the 6 to Solihull being all the way up in West Bromwich? No. No you wouldn't, the ad serves it general purpose.

This is such a nothingburger conversation that I frankly can't believe you're taking such issue with. It's not like Coventry and the rest of the WM are served by entirely differen't disconnected entites. you're acting like you've seen an ad for a Diamond Bus route that serves Merry Hill, in Coventry. It's not that deep.

Quote from: Sandy Lane on January 24, 2025, 12:20:46 PMHello TfWM,

Coventry calling, is there anybody there please?

FYI - Coventry (large population city east of Birmingham)

Found a bus shelter with a very large full size advertising poster on the end panel. Can you tell me why the poster has a happy smiley person (student I guess) 'Escaping the Campus' with the RTI in the picture showing the 50 to Kings Heath!!!!!

There is not much chance of anyone getting on the 50 at this stop and the hourly service at this stop does not go even go into the city centre. The student will be ready for his free OAP pass before the 50 service passes by - he wont be smiling for long waiting here.

Fine no problem earning some advertising money but this poster is not at all relevant to Coventry.  TfWM get real, this is ridiculous!

there's several bus adverts funded by the government talking about routes in Coventry while being in Brum, see them more than I see the ones talking about Birmingham routes. this is also, like a non issue.

Quote from: Stu on January 22, 2025, 07:54:27 PMJust reading through some of the consultation responses again, and I can't believe how ill-informed some people are!
 That is simply not true! One-day nNetwork tickets can be bought on bus. And NX and Diamond single/day tickets are the same price!
More ill-informed rubbish, nBus day tickets are valid on ALL bus operators' services.
:undecided:
No idea about what any of the questions are asking, just submit a response anyway!
honestly it seems like the go by nbus ads in i think 2023 were all for nothing if people are spouting out this much information so confidently

Quote from: BBS on January 22, 2025, 02:49:26 PME039 doesn't have that, just E038
"You might have to give us a clue about what you're on about!"

I only showed E039 so Stu could actually see the difference, like how he asked.

It's missing the background decal for the front sides of the bus, as opposed to every other bus painted this way.

I must ask, what do the red buses mean?

Quote from: frostjay974 on January 16, 2025, 07:40:47 PMRevenue came on one of the buses that I was on today in the city centre doing their usual passes/tickets checks and one of the passengers onboard had apparently used contactless with a debit card to pay to which one of the inspectors asked if they could see the last 4 digits of their card in order to prove this. This question clearly did not go down too well with the passenger as they started to confront the inspector asking why they needed to show them their personal card details. After several refusals to show the numbers the inspector then asked if they could only see the last 3 digits where the passenger refused again. The inspector lastly asked for the last 2 digits of the card number and just like the previous few attempts the inspector was unsuccessful in getting any information out of the passenger. Eventually, the inspector had escorted the passenger outside where they appeared to be having some form of a verbal altercation for a couple of minutes and then the passenger returned back on to the bus and it looked as if they had won as they were still ranting on about the question that they were asked and how they are not giving their card details to anyone. The real question is though how is the inspector supposed to identify whether or not the card was used solely based on the last 2 digits of the number? and does this always usually happen whenever an inspection of such is done on a passenger who is paying with contactless? I thought they just had to show them the card and that's it.
Not to mention, if you use your card on Apple/Google/Samsung pay, that specific information is obfuscated to the seller. As in, Apple/Google/Samsung pay create a new card number that's to be shared with the seller in a measure to protect your real card number.
