I understand that, with the 25, turn around times meant Wollaston Farm (Kingsway) was left out of the route. However, looking at the 25A timetable, it appears there is more time. Is there any chance the of the 25A serving the estate in the future? It would provide a quicker service to Merry Hill and Dudley, and also provide a new service to Mary Stevens Park, which is a popular destination for the people of Wollaston Farm despite us not having a bus service there. In addition to this, the 250/251, which was the predecessor to the 25, was used by residents including myself as well as others.

Hello Simon, will the dual door Streetlite that you've acquired be converted into single door? If it will, will this be done externally or in house?

Quote from: Ingleboro261F on January 27, 2025, 07:52:35 PMUnfortunately Bustimes is not looking hopeful for its future, newest addition shows that we cannot see livery names anymore. Sad really.
All because vegs were arguing over the livery names on the discord and then site edits, so instead of strict moderation they just removed the livery names 🤦♂️

This is true, in Manchester the small depots were all awarded to big operators, which I don't believe was their intended purpose, but the big operators could always undercut bids from independents. From what I've heard, one of them was almost won by Stotts Tours, a local independent, however Rotala came in last second with a better bid (no official source to back that up though).

Tranche 3 has brought possibly the worst start to a new service (for the operator) I've ever seen. The 356 is, and this is an understatement, an absolute mess. It really doesn't help that TfGM put the PVR up to 5 (from 3) by interworking it with the 343. This is because drivers do not know the route, its been over a week and there has been multiple instances on different journeys (this is an hourly service) of buses skipping parts of the route because they don't understand it. It was even worse at the start of the week, where almost every trip was a nightmare. Yesterday, a vehicle managed to make it into West Yorkshire! As I'm typing this, one that's previously skipped Diggle and Friezland, and also went the complete wrong way and made an illegal u turn by the looks of it, has just skipped Mossley. Franchising causes more issues than it solves. I know many people that live in many areas of Greater Manchester, the 356 isn't the only case of the service getting worse, and it isn't teething issues because Tranche 2 suffers from poor service as well. Let Greater Manchester be a warning to us, its not worth it.

Quote from: Tony on January 13, 2025, 09:01:29 PMPolice incident, Passenger incident, driver incident? If you just 'went past it' how do you know there was something wrong with the bus?
It was just the driver in there so I assumed it was

Quote from: B7RLE on January 13, 2025, 08:10:51 PMWhy was it sitting there for at least 40 minutes then with its hazards on?
After a look at bustimes.org tracking, it was actually an hour sat in the Wrenna. It did go onto the 11 after deadrunning to Wolverhampton, but there was clearly an issue with the vehicle. I saw it sat there with just the driver onboard in the cab.
