County Connecta Day price has increased to £9.50; I don't think I'll be doing another day on the Worcestershire network for a while.

I apologise if this is a stupid question but I've heard it mentioned a lot so I'm wondering, what is E334?

Quote from: Ingleboro261F on November 13, 2024, 12:52:07 PMDid the 49 get announcements recently, I thought the only routes that had NSA for YW was the 6
To my knowledge, every NXWM route now has announcements to comply with the new legislation surrounding them

Quote from: frostjay974 on November 11, 2024, 03:07:21 PMIt would be better if you went there and tested the services yourself before saying that.
I hear everyday about struggles with Bee Network services, across a wide range of them. I have also been up there once and I witnessed a convoy of vehicles on the 135, 59 and 409. 3 of the 6 routes that I rode on that day.

Quote from: Tony on November 10, 2024, 08:09:54 AMLondon Red makes sense as 'London's red buses' has been a phrase known for a very long time, but why does all over yellow make sense in Manchester, but all over grey in the West Midlands doesn't. Neither area has ever had any association with that colour previously
The yellow makes sense in Manchester because bees are quite iconic there (I don't know why, but they are)

Day out to Shropshire today

NXWM 6776 8 to Stourbridge
WMR 139 forgot which one to Stourbridge Junction
WMR 172 forgot which one to Kidderminster - Chiltern interior, nice change to the usual
Diamond 32337 292 to Ludlow - 292 is an amazing route, would recommend
Minsterley YJ65 EVU 435 to Shrewsbury - 435 is tight in some areas, fun route
TfW 158831 to Telford Central - Very busy service but the guard was really helpful and good at his job, making sure everyone managed to get off when they wanted to
Banga YD63 UZY 891 to Wolverhampton
NXWM 2089 16 to Audnam
Diamond 32136 25 to Wollaston

Quote from: ellspurs on October 31, 2024, 10:00:57 PMI went through Manchester (on my way to Glasgow) on Tuesday. I barely saw any of the yellow buses. Have they not franchised the area that covers the city centre/airport yet?
The south of Greater Manchester (south of the city) is set to be franchised in early 2025 - that includes the airport area

Quote from: Stu on October 31, 2024, 05:30:06 PMThe other pertinent question to be answered is has franchising bus services in Manchester made them more reliable?

As someone who has multiple friends from different areas of Greater Manchester, I can confirm the answer to this is no
