Dicky still keeping his hand in then?

@Mega Kickdown - Have you checked out Aston Manor, based at Aldridge?

They're on Facebook, plus have a website as well.

Quote from: BlackCountryBusSpotter on Today at 10:27:30 AMQuick Question at Wolverhampton and Walsall Bus Station's you used to have pay to use the Toilets however since about 2020 they haven't charged to use them, the paying things are still there but don't work/aren't used, why did they Start making you pay to use them and when. Because maybe a few years before 2020 they were free to use. And why have they now not bothered to make you pay for them again. I can't remember if you have to pay at Digbeth Coach Station or not either.
Walsall's are out of order currently!

The northern terminus for the Walsall 32 should read Lower Farm, not Lower Bloxwich, also you need to insert Mossley next to the northern terminus for the Walsall 31.

Short Heath needs to be on the opposite side of the red line to where it is at the moment, in between the red line & the M6.

Must admit I found myself round by there yesterday, as I went to Brum on a day off, then decided to have a wander up the canal, to see where it brought me out, getting on at Brindley Place, but as I discovered, there didn't seem to be many places to break the journey.

Eventually I came off the towpath, & found myself on Heath St & I remember looking at Bustimes & seeing no stops listed, for what seemed a fairly busy road, as it took me over 5 minutes to cross the road!

Even found what appeared to be the old Thandi premises nearby & eventually found a path that led to the hospital entrance, as I needed the loo.

After grabbing a Greggs, I waited for a 89 to turn up, then went back to West Bromwich, where I went to my other sister's for a bit, then went back to Walsall on a 4.

(Caldmore still a PITA for traffic, isn't it!)

Thought I'd posted this already, but the 31 stop in Walsall Bus Station is unavailable today, due to works, so that row's services have shuffled up by one, except the 529, which was picking up at the temporary bus stop by the gym!

As I've mentioned on other threads, the 57 is one of the services being diverted in Willenhall, due to work involving the new railway station, which means all vehicles can only go northbound into Willenhall along Rose Hill/Bilston Street.

You will also notice that I did point out to Simon, that following the 'official' diversion to the letter, would result in Tyler Road getting a service from Bilston towards Willenhall, but not Willenhall towards Bilston.

Simon did say it wasn't possible, which I thought, fair enough, as I was asking on behalf of a workmate who lived down there, so it would be down to them to pursue further, rather than me.

Now, out of curiosity, I've just taken a look at Bustimes & noticed that on a few journeys, but not all, journeys towards Bilston were diverting via the Keyway & onto Rose Hill, then serving Tyler Road, but omitting Willenhall(if Bustimes was correct in the first place?) itself!

I can only guess, since the posts the other day, there might have been a change of heart by management, bearing in mind, a 57 passenger wanting Willenhall from the Wednesfield direction, could change onto a frequent 529, to take them one stop down nearer Willenhall?

If so, good on Diamond for considering the problem & working on a solution, but let's hope all drivers follow the new diversion.

(I did also notice, & also hope this is a driver mistake/Bustimes issue, but one journey, the 1210 from Wolves actually went the normal route, which might have been a bit hairy, if one side of the road was shut & certainly if they met a lorry coming off the Long Acres Trading Estate in the other direction!

Certainly, at the Bilston St end, one side is blocked off, but due to time constraints, I couldn't check by the bridge itself, but the one sign I saw said 'Access to frontages only')

Edit, looks like today, its gone back to the official diversion!

Midland Metro / Re: General Metro Thread

Quote from: BBS on March 25, 2025, 08:18:42 PMIs there any update on St George's? Also new metro shelters built at Dudley and Birmingham Albert street. Albert street seems to be a one stop shelter, trams stopping on the road. Not sure if this is ideal considering there's a ton of buses that use that road too.
Another 'hotspot' that will no doubt appear on the Twitter page at some point, preventing trams from operating properly, joining the Bull Street to Five Ways, Wolves to Priestfield etc sections, as regular posts on there!

Quote from: Westy on March 04, 2025, 07:07:24 AM32135 seems to have a problem with its wheelchair ramp, to the extent the user had to be left behind at the stop!

0634 Mossley to Walsall & this happened at the May Street stop in Leamore.

(Unfortunatly a 32 went pass at the same time, else the user could've used that instead!)
Similar issue with 30525 this morning, the problem with the wheelchair ramp happened after the user got on the vehicle, and appeared something wasnt connecting, when the vehicle tried to move off, so after a few minutes, it decided it was a fault, your driver rang into the traffic office & gave us the choice to vacate the bus, which most of us did, apart from the wheelchair user afaik.

(If you look on your bus CCTV at journeys around that time(@tony - One for Nx as well, as the user uses your vehicles as well!), you will see at first glance)

Quote from: Westy on March 19, 2025, 03:55:23 PMAny reason why the Wilkes Street in Willenhall stop is marked up as 'Out Of Use', when the 25 & 57 can still stop there, as those 2 routes are not on diversion, unlike the 326 & 23/23a?

Edit - If this works, this is the reason why!

@Simon Dunn - This is something you might wish to clarify, as your own website does not mention this yet.

It suggests Service 57 will run normal route from Bilston to Willenhall, which includes the Tyler Road area, but coming back from Willenhall to Bilston, it suggests Tyler Road isn't served?

If that is the case, would it be possible to loop Bilston Lane, Rose Hill, then Tyler Road onwards, so passengers don't lose a service from there TO Bilston, also this would impact passengers shopping at both Morrisons & Tesco in Willenhall as well? (Coming back from Bilston wouldn't be a problem!)

In addition to current Willenhall diversions, you also have this starting this weekend!

Dont really know the area as such, but couldnt it be linked to the Telford service, ie rerouting the 891 off the A41 somehow into Codsall, or will that cause more issues?
