Quote from: ellspurs on Yesterday at 05:46:10 PMIt says on the page that it is an extension of their 88 Solihull to Balsall Common service via aspects of the old 2/2a route.

I wonder if they'll send it up Lavender Hall Lane and through Berkswell and Carol Green to get to Eastern Green/Tile Hill. They've not had a normal bus service up there in a long while.
Yes, I also hope this happens, just 10 mins max to link from the Balsall Common 88 terminus to Tile Hill South and serve those hamlets, if so this makes the end to end 188 trip around 1h 25mins.
The NX 14/14A could be tweaked to maintain the Tile Hill South/Canley to Cannon Park link if the one-way routing is changed to run in both directions, one of each hourly should be ample if it intertwines (similar to 17/17A at Fenside).
Lastly, I still think it makes sense for the 87 to serve Cannon Hill Road but I'm not holding my breath.

Quote from: Tony on October 27, 2024, 10:13:23 AME232; E239 & E246 have all been amended to CV on the tracking systems so should track next time they are out, although E246 looks like it might need a kick first.;

I take it CV has gained E246 because the amended 13 timetable from next weekend requires an additional vehicle.

Quote from: Sandy Lane on September 19, 2024, 01:34:40 PMAfter a few weeks running experience I wonder if there will be any point to point timing adjustments necessary on the 13?

On some of my travels in the peak there does seem to be some late running. Not sure if this is due to the extended route  or just general traffic levels in Coventry.

A short notice variation has gone in for a Change to Mon-Sat Timetables to commence 4th November. Hopefully this should improve the service.

When flicking through the tracking history maps you'll soon see a couple of cancelled (adjusted) Segro trips virtually every weekday.

New X30 timetable is now on traveline which indicates the service will...

- No longer stop on Clifford Bridge Rd
- Only serve one stop on Ansty Rd at Wyken Pippin
- Continue to serve all current stops between Walsgrave Road (Burns Rd) and Coventry Rail Station

I suppose this means any desired route can be taken between Wyken Pippin and Ansty Park.

Quote from: 2206 on October 05, 2024, 08:06:44 AMThe 9S timetable has had an increase to x4 journeys in the PM x3 AM.
So I guess that might be the service.

https://bustimes.org/services/9s-green-lane-coventry

Strange timetable, the first journeys randomly run short, would this be to detract everyone cramming on to first bus and for the purpose of quickly recycling vehicle for another journey?.
PM trips are rerouted via Kenilworth Rd, the original 1515 journey only tracks at the moment and has correctly ran the new route only once this week.
To think in the nineties WMT ran a network of at least 6 routes from the school to suburban areas where the pupils lived but all now lost in the name of funding removal etc, I guess it's only lucrative to quickly dump all in the City Centre.

Bustimes is indicating an extension of the X30 service within the Ansty Park site from 4th November.
Presumably continuing as far as the Meggitt business where unserved bus shelters have been in situ for at least 3 years.
This is being achieved under existing resource by way of changing the service to limited stopping which at least means the 'X' now makes sense.

Quote from: Sandy Lane on August 31, 2024, 07:43:43 PMOooh that hurt! Maybe I should but 0400 is too early for me.

0030 is even earlier and is the proper first journey to operate towards Segro Baginton today, courtesy of vehicle E054.

So that makes the Bustimes timetable correct but the others (NX, TFWM & Traveline) are formatted to 'start' the day at around 3am for whatever reason.

Coventry services 24 & 25 haven't tracked today (Sat) and service 85b hasn't tracked all week - it's that usual issue which sometimes crops up when revised timetables take effect.

Quote from: Sandy Lane on July 25, 2024, 09:00:20 PMWhen Scimitar Rd was first built behind the Jaguar plant all those years years ago I did not understand why a bus lane was put in on the steep hill. Now I understand why !
There is bus stop kerbing in each direction on Scimitar Way close to the Jaguar roundabout which I hope will be commissioned for the 13 service (instead of a merry-go-round of both directions calling to the same existing Jaguar stop). Also more kerbing in both directions just north of the Rowley Road roundabout which would be convenient for the Air Museum, Battery Centre and a short walk to Rowley Drive but we may see reluctance in installing stop posts here with it being outside the TFWM area.

Quote from: paulb1973 on July 25, 2024, 06:37:14 PMI have driven that way to get to Baginton (the Old Mill pub) from the London Rd area, quite straight-forward and you go across that rather large bridge across the A45. It gives the JLR area quite a frequent service seemingly. On London Road itself, the 'inbound 21' side will also be the 'outbound 13 side' and the opposite on the other side of the road - they'll be plenty of buses between Willenhall and that Asda store (if there wasn't enough already).
I expect we will see some passengers interchanging at London Road (Asda) to make their journey between Segro and the City Centre shorter.

New timetable for the 13 and 13A is now on traveline, and the route taken for the extension isn't what we were expecting...
From Willenhall it follows the 21 route to London Road (Asda) then into Whitley Jaguar and along Scimitar Way and Orchard Way* to Segro Park.
(*Orchard Way is renamed Silver Eagle Way now?). The 13A doesn't extend to Segro.

Quote from: Stu on July 22, 2024, 07:43:48 PMAt a guess, I would say it will probably just be the 13A journeys that get extended, presumably Segro are providing some funding for this.
Quote from: paulb1973 on July 22, 2024, 07:10:25 PMSegro Park appears to be close to Coventry Airport (the other side of the runway from a Rowley Rd perspective) - that's quite a long extension from Willenhall for the 13 ! (I assume this will be some peak time journeys).
This extension from Willenhall is at least 3 miles and makes the end to end journey around 40 minutes, a bit long yes but had it been a new direct bus service between the City Centre and Segro it would probably be double the cost to cover the assumed 30 minute frequency/intervals, combining with the 13 service also directly links Segro with several working class residential districts so in that respect I don't think it should be the 13A journeys which extend to Segro.

Quote from: Tony on July 10, 2024, 12:28:27 PMOr you step the frequency up which is likely to happen on one Coventry route very soon which has two effects. It increases capacity AND makes the service even more attractive.
No point in stepping up frequencies when reliability/timekeeping isn't there,
2159 is the on 17/17A today since midday and has been at least 5 minutes late at every timing point for over six hours, probably irritating hundreds of passengers and I thought this was an easy route having an average of 5 mins slack per 30 minutes.

Quote from: Stu on June 30, 2024, 06:28:35 PMThat's possible, but then again my DD pass shows as valid until 'December 2034' so I doubt it.

But again, as it clearly states on the NX Bus website, it is valid on all operators' services within the nBus zone and on ALL NX Bus services, including those that go outside the nBus area.

End date is irrelevant, NX ticket machines should be smart enough to stop accepting DD nBus tickets outside the zone starting from the monthly anniversary of the start date on the smartcard.
The information for the nBus ticket (screenshot) requires update, the ticket changes page indicates the £59 DD is now valid within the nBus zone only.

Quote from: Stu on June 30, 2024, 05:10:28 PMOK, so I decided to head to Bromsgrove on the 20 this afternoon. Pass was validated correctly on the return journey back.

Which the more I thought about it, I knew would be the case.

So my Direct Debit regional pass allows travel on all NX Bus services, as well as other operators' services within the nBus zone.

It could be a possibility your DD pass remains valid outside the nBus zone up until the 4th July, the day before your ticket 'renews' on the monthly anniversary of the start date as seen in your earlier screenshot.

Quote from: Busmapper on June 23, 2024, 08:25:54 AMSomethig else though is I can't see the point of the Outer Zone weekly or monthly direct debit tickets when the regular weekly and monthly direct debit versions state 'Unlimited travel on all bus operators within the nbus zone and on all National Express buses'.
The point of purchase (residence location) surely isn't relevant here and can't be proven anyway.

But for this fare revision from next week all the nBus tickets will NO LONGER be valid on NX Buses outside the nBus zone, hence the introduction of the Outer zones ticket.
The NX ticket machines should be smart enough to continue to accept outside the zone 1/4/52 week nBus tickets which have started before 30th June up until they expire. Direct Debit tickets will most likely stop being accepted on the day or within a month.
