That's how a tender works.  Whichever operator bids the lowest wins the tender/route, so nothing special about operator changes.

81 timetable now on website.  Looks as if it involves some interworking with other routes.

Not surprising given it'd been reduced from every 20 mins, to an hourly service.

They will probably last till 2026-2027 as they aren't in bad condition which is great as I love the scanias

Considering some of the older Scanias have had their 17 branding removed and repainted into crimson, I think it's safe to say they'll be here for a while yet.

I'm pretty sure the 12 served the villages then went direct to twlford via the M54

The 12 used the A5.

As far as Staffordshire is concerned, I can think of a few routes that were withdrawn and reinstated

61 Cannock - Lichfield Via Boney Hay, withdrawn by Arriva in 2019 and reinstated by D&G between Sankeys Corner and Lichfield only (which is now being withdrawn again)

62 Cannock - Lichfield Via Hazleslade, curtailed to only go as far as Sankeys Corner by Arriva back in 2019, D&G extended it to Lichfield back in June along the same route as before

23/23A Cannock - Wimblebury - Hednesford, route withdrawn back in 2015, In June it was reinstated

There's probably loads more in Staffordshire

You could say that the X14 was a reinstated version of the 12, except not serving Penkridge.

It's no surprise that the X14 is being withdrawn.  I think, had they have served the villages just off the A5 (Tong Norton, Bishop's Wood, Brewood) providing these with a link to services in Telford, the route may have survived.

1793 is the last 17 branded bus is what he was referring to

Shame the 17 branding will disappear.  I always liked it.

Service changes to the 38 and 42 service from 2nd of January

38 - Reinstating pre-Covid 19 routing in place of service 42.

So the 38 is coming back?

How can you follow tenders to see who has won what service and who has bidded what? I want to see what's happening on the 96 side who has bidded etc.

Also, a streetlite had "8 Bridgnorth" on the blind (weather it actually did the 8 is another story).

The 14 has never seemed to have a fixed allocation.  Basically anything and everything will turn up on it.

That's Hall Green.  The boundary between Hall Green and Shirley is just past Robin Hood island
