Quote from: twbc99 on June 29, 2025, 08:17:09 PMThey may not end up on any of the Birmingham routes according to reports on the rail forums. At the moment there is one or two diagrams south of Northampton for the 730/2.The quote in the previous comment is correct. The Birmingham to Liverpool is going to be both types to keep crew knowledge up

Quote from: Wba_lad on June 29, 2025, 05:44:06 PMDoes anyone have a confirmed date on when the 730/2 will start running on Birmingham services please? I've heard when they do they will be the Birmingham new street to Liverpool lime street service. i would of thought they would of put them on the Birmingham new street to London Euston services first or even the London Euston to Crewe service.Whatever date you've heard for the Liverpool it's been delayed. I'm waiting to find out the new date
Quote from: Rachvince53 on June 28, 2025, 07:45:00 PMYes, the 360A/C were operated by TDC but traffic congestion meant the service suffered from delays which put people off from using it. The service, which was I believe Europe's longest bus route (surpassing the 11A/11C) was split up to improve timekeeping.I didn't know a loop of Coventry was further than Peterborough to Norwich
Quote from: Tridentobt on June 28, 2025, 05:59:22 PMSurely if that were the case they would've just gotten rid of them when they got rid of all the other tridents which was way before glastonbury - no way they thought to keep them just for this, YW would've retained a few platinums at most.Yardley Wood has 7 buses at Glastonbury, so has had to keep 7 buses that would otherwise be withdrawn to cover.
I'm sure they're staying until they develop an expensive fault/their MOT runs out
Quote from: Stu on June 27, 2025, 07:19:31 PMI don't know to be honest, maybe there was an error in the service registration which has subsequently been corrected, but not published yet.17 extension happens on 3rd August
Or perhaps the registration is correct, and NX haven't submitted the correct timetable data to TfWM yet, which has resulted in TfWM publishing incorrect future timetables.
Quote from: B61 ANDREW on June 27, 2025, 07:48:21 PMCan anyone tell me if BV19XPO and BV19XPP are still in service please ? If so, who with ? Thanks.
Quote from: ellspurs on June 24, 2025, 04:41:37 PMhttps://bustimes.org/stops/4200F162322?date=2025-07-29NX current tender runs until 31/12/25
Currently the 85 doesn't have an end date programmed in, so as of yet it hasn't been cancelled/adjusted. The TfWM page states that they need to give six weeks' notice, so we may not see any changes until the new school year in September.
Quote from: Wumpty on June 24, 2025, 08:55:34 AMGood to hear, though why will it, " probably stop tracking again tomorrow"?The Traffilog engineer was at PN last night, you'll notice several of the 69xx have restarted tracking today as well
Do you know something we don't, or are you genuinely one of the tracking engineers?
This stuff is very interesting to know.
Quote from: B7RLE on June 22, 2025, 05:17:10 PMThe Manchester Metrolink vehicles don't have stop bellsI bet they have a couple somewhere, You won't find them on Levantes unless you know where to look
Quote from: The Transport Youtuber on June 22, 2025, 04:30:37 PMany idea why there are stop bells on the trams?legal requirements on any passenger carrying vehicle whether it is rubber or steel wheels
Quote from: Stu on June 22, 2025, 04:53:45 PMI've come across this before, no idea what causes it, but sometimes the doors will go to close, then they will spring back open again - usually after a couple of attempts they will then stay closed and the vehicle can start moving again.Scania doors have a sensor in the rubber to make sure they don't trap anybody. If the two doors touch each other too hard the sensor opens the doors again
Quote from: TheMidlandsTransportGuy on June 21, 2025, 03:24:15 PMnahh I mean on the outside, i almost couldn't see the route it was onIt'll be in night mode, the light sensors probably faulty of covered in muck
