Quote from: Squiz1971 on December 12, 2015, 12:59:50 PMI agree and I think WN have most of those tridents that stand out to the rest
Personally I find the ZF Trident 2's at WN to have a great engine & gearbox sound have been on a few on the 126 many a time, like all buses they start to sound tired after so many years in service. I think it gives them character if they sound different to the norm and should be appreciated not whinged about because some sound different to others.
Off topic a bit but the BC ZF Trident 2's sound great as well, they have an engine/gearbox character of their own
Quote from: Nathan on December 12, 2015, 12:38:57 AMGreat bid I love when Tridents get thrashed like that
This is my video of 4545
Yeah, Most of them sound like this. 4590, 4603 and 4605's sound different.

Not 4318 (WN bus)
add 4194 & 4218
Quote from: Tony on December 08, 2015, 10:11:08 PMDam its going to be hard to see the older double deckers go
4175 hasn't even got to the paintshop yet.
It probably has less than 2 years life left, why spend money on a full refurb you are not going to get back
Quote from: Winston on December 06, 2015, 06:23:52 PMIts like you read my mind
I also expect the majority of next years orders to be double deckers and more than likely more E400MMC's.
I expect BC to gain a batch of new double deckers for either the Bristol Rd as the 97 now appears to be gaining refurbished Crimson Tridents - Y-reg Tridents out (34 still at BC)
I expect WN will gain a new Crimson fleet for the 126
YW will gain a batch of either new or nearly cascades as it must have one of the oldest double decker fleets with 13 x Presidents & 47 x Tridents (02/52 plate) = 60 from a total double decker allocation of 97. I'd expect those to go on the 2 & 3.
AG may gain a batch of new double deckers or newer cascades for the 5 & 31. Outer Circle will not receive anything new for some time with new branding only just being applied now. Presidents out
PB may gain a batch of Platinum's for Sutton Lines to compete against Arriva's 110 Sapphire route, 63 plate E400's cascaded on to 65/67 or 94 to release B7TL/ALX400's from PB
I'd expect Dundee to gain a small batch of new double deckers (max 10)
NXC may also gain a batch of new double deckers
The above will all be dependant on the outcome of the Greener Bus bids for Electric / Hydrogen Fuel Cell & retro-fitting 200 existing buses with Euro 6 traps.

I was on 2083 on the x96 yesterday and as it was going through my estate (penfields) the engine switched itself off going at least 5 to 10 mph. What can cause it to do that?

When you say cleanest, what do you mean? If you mean the seats then it recently had its seats retrimmed (in TWM moquette)

For anyone not on Facebook,
4466 will come back in Crimson. It has had its seats retrimmed in the red dot moquette
