Oh well, fair enough, Tony, I don't have that sort of knowledge of the R&R operation. I thought the booking/operation of it was a bit more flexible than it obviously is .....

Disabled wheel-chair users have got more than adequate provision for transport locally by using WMSNT minibuses.

So, if we're going to be politically correct, in the interests of tackling equality and discrimination, let's open up all those minibuses to buggy-users ....  ;)

KX57FMC seen on the 167/8 today, another "new" vehicle - and none of the "usual suspects" has been seen for the last week or so.   Looks like there has been a complete reallocation of the buses assigned to these routes ......

The Archive / Re: The "Bus stop not in use" thread
November 10, 2014, 09:45:04 PM
The bus stops either side of Thimble End Road (aka Walmley By-pass) near Springfield Road are still there and showing Not in Use, last time I looked.  They were on the dog-leg on the old 68A/C route before buses started going straight down the Walmley Road.

The other interesting anomaly locally is the pair of bus stops at the top end of Rectory Road near the junction with Coleshill Road (back of Holy Trinity Church).  These have been signed "not in use" since the demise of Rotala's 119 Falcon Lodge service.  But nowadays, the 110 and the 904 (one way) both pass them.  So are they back in use or not?  I'll have to try getting off there one day!

And, as far as I'm aware, the service numbers on the bus stops in Riland Road still show 110 and 904 despite the re-routing ....

T16GAJ noted this morning in Asda Minworth on either the 167 or the 168 - another unusual vehicle for these routes!

QuoteNew arrivals????
Brand new enviro 200
YY64GVZ
YY64GWA
YY64GWC
All at North depot
.......................
The new enviros are for the 167-168

......... so I hotfooted it down to my nearest 168 stop this morning hoping for one of the new vehicles rather than the usual diet of CYW, CYY, DXD and occassionally RXR - but what I caught was not a new one but interestingly T13GAJ which I've never seen before ..... absolutely pristine condition, and still bearing the previous operator's fleet number 13, inside, above the windscreen.  :)

The Enviros are having well..shall we say a couple of teething problems.

Might one of those be anything to do with the onboard "next stop" announcements?  :) :) :)

I saw 4413 and 4415 at Whitehouse Common around midday Monday in the rain.  The white LED displays looked pretty spectacular in the gloom! :D

Thanks for that, Solo.  I can't recall what the livery was, unfortunately!

So they've got X179CTG which is ex Cardiff 179 ....... I've also recently seen W171EAX around, which is ex Cardiff 171 - but I don't know who the local operator is.  Does anyone know if 171 is also a Discount Travel vehicle?

Thanks, Tony, I wasn't aware of that.  I don't use the 115 all that often, I'm afraid!

Possible new addition to the fleet - noted in Walmley today, all-white minibus HN12 KGE, simply numbered 1236 above the windscreen.  The last "12**" in Tony's fleet-list is 1235 .....

On an out-bound 115 (4932) diverted between Dartmouth Circus and Aston Cross via Thomas Street and right into Park Lane this morning.  Couldn't see any particular reason for it, but it was being "signposted" as a traffic diversion.  Presumably all the Lichfield Road routes affected.
