Normal allocations for the 907 are Scania Omnicity, especially Monday to Friday, but this week has been different, the 907's I catch to and from work are Scania's (9 times out of 10), but this week I haven't been on one at all, I've seen them but not as widely as usual

they used to operate on the 195 and for a time the 99 which was the 195's replacement when Sutton Coldfield had a share of these routes as well as services 162 (later becoming 962) and 93, 94.

It has to be said that there are too many bus routes covering too much of the City Centre

4460 passing through Perry Barr at about 5.00 this afternoon ........... is this on it's way back to BC ?

Back in 1970 Midland Red ordered 118 Leyland Atlanteans, these were never received. 68 were to be bodied by Alexander (they went to Merseyside PTE), 50 were to be bodied by MCW (20 went to Maidstone and 30 to London Country). Does anybody know which garages would have had these atlanteans.

I knew this would happen, branding the 28 "every 12 minutes", you're lucky to get one every 20 minutes in peaks never mind every 12 minutes. Polishing a turd !!!

Right I've attached my timetables for my idea for the 907 (including new idea for 906), you can all shoot me down for increasing the PVR and that's fine but this needs addressing, I've sent these timetables to NXWM (that'll be a waste of time) I know

To be honest Winston you're more than likely right about my suggestion for the 42, it has been a regular occurrence for passengers to get of at the last stop on College Road then WALK to the Tesco/Beggars Bush shopping area because they get there before the bus does !!!
As for covering the cost, what about Beeches Road buses being doubled so they could separate the Thornbridge/Hassop from Booths Farm, so should they have been every 20 mins each ?, no it was only to fit them in with the 51 and 33..... so costs....really ?

My idea for the 907:

the 907 to be early mornings and evenings only
Monday to Saturday to be 906 (as 907 but not serving Perry Barr One Stop OR Tesco/Beggars) and 42 Perry Barr One Stop to New Oscott via College Road, Warren Farm Road, Ellerton Road, Finchley Road and Kings Road to Tesco/Beggars Bush.
This would improve reliability of the main route (906) and still provide a connection along most of College Road to Tesco/Beggars Bush (42) and AVOIDING the section of Chester Road between College Road and Tesco/Beggars Bush which is the biggest problem.

It gets hardly any attention at all, it's just been left to rot !!!

The 15-20 minutes drop back is no use to anyone waiting on the route if it running 20-25 mins late which is happens a lot. It needs to be re-routed FULL STOP
#852
Yes Dom you are right about to 5 and 77, but the 907's worst place is that part of Chester Road by ALDI, it just does not move !!!
#853
Not as many as you think, you tell that to the others on the bus, they'll love that !!!
#854
I think you right about if the Heartland / Bromford Lane junction was sorted out it would have potential or how about a X94 from City to Chelmsley Wood Stopping a Millennium Point, Star City, The Fort Shopping Park, Chester Road/Spitfire Island, Lanchester Way, the all stops to Pine Square via Auckland Drive.

The 907 (previously 107) has been my bus route now for 22 years and now surely the time has come to re-routed to avoid Tesco. My son and I were on 4697 going towards Sutton, we got to the last stop on College Road at Chester Road at 1247, it took until 1305 to get to the junction of Jockey Road/College Road by going via Chester Road to pass Beggars Bush and Tesco. If it went straight across along the remaining part of College Road to Jockey Road/College Road junction it would of took 2 or 3 minutes instead of 18 !!!. This is a regular event on most days, this needs to change.
