They have been painted Burgundy and cream for Park & Ride North.

Great, nice to see the old Coventry colours making another comeback!

From August these services will switch to a new set of stops in Lower Bull Street on the other side of the road from the current stops on this street.

If you haven't already seen it then http://www.centro.org.uk/connectedcity/maps.swf has full details for all City Centre services

PB run at least one School Service the 886 I think that serves Walsall Bus Station, so it could be on that?

Yes SMK, it was because supposedly some people found it easier to remember 1 or2  digit numbers. Personally I find that a little bit patronising to the people of the West Midlands who lets face it have seemingly been able to use routes with 3 digits since Midland Red days.

According to the latest newsletter that I received from AMRTM, the 2 museums day is on the "extra" Jubilee bank holiday of Tuesday 5th June.

Arriva / Re: Arriva X31

Don't think the X31 is a contract, it would be  a commercial service, but as the smaller operators tend to have lower operating costs, one of them may try it commercially.

Apparently the ex Dundee/London ones had no wheelchair space? Therefore they went before the "native" examples.

Don't think that NXWM would serve Ikea commercially, it would need to be sponsored by IKEA or the owners of the Retail Park to make it viable.

Hopefully the recent announcements regarding investment at Merry Hill by Centro/Westfield/Bus Operators will finally improve Public transport to this very busy location.

Hope plenty of people were there. I was really looking forward to going, but family problems meant I couldn't attend.

Still hopefully will be able to go on 2 Museums Day on the Jubilee weekend.

Stagecoach / Re: stagecoach

I am very impressed by Stagecoach's investment in vehicles, even the small garages ex Midland Red garages such as Stratford (E400's) and Banbury (E200's) have received new buses over the past couple of years.

Also their improvement in frequencies of routes linking the main towns is also very welcome. Three such routes off the top of my head are the 28, 86 and 500 .

Yes, they are meant to be for the 636 only , but it seems that BC are short on vehicles at the moment.

Arriva / Re: Arriva X31

It would be good to see Centro subsidize this within the West Midlands Country as it does provide useful work and shopping links into Brum.

The trouble is that Centro normally go on accessibility rules and if the X31 does go, I don't think that anywhere would be more than 400 metres from a bus service, even if they don't go to the same places.

Made me wonder if Arriva are going to compete more with NXWM, although seeing as their last attempt to that after they took over Chase didn't really work out, that does seem unlikely.

yes I remember their really smart Leopards and Antlanteans running into Wolverhampton. Also I think they had some preserved vehilces too, not sure what happened to those.
