When people sit at the back and place their footwear on the opposite seats in a double decker, especially when they are wet and/or dirty.

4185 was on the X1. It left Birmingham on the X2 at 19:15, so if it manages to stay out all night, then it'll be on the X2 all night.

I'm interested in this subject, what's the general consensus on the volume? Just right or too high/low. The more responses the better please, here or pm.

529 is one of my local routes, @BN.

The announcements on some 529 branded MMCs are too loud. When I don't have my processor switched on (I'm a cochlear implant user), I can feel the vibrations from the speakers in my chest. Some MMCs say "The next stop is... Hill Road/Noose Lane." Then when a bus arrives at the bus stop, it interrupts before it has a chance to say the whole bus stop name. "Hill Ro-... The next stop is Neachells Lane." Then says the current bus stop name "Hill Road." Same issue for Bentley Cemetery and Warwick Avenue. It says like this "Bentley Cemetery. The next sto-... Bentley Cemetery."

The announcements say a bus stop name three times. Too much? One from 'The next stop is...', one from a short distance from that bus stop, and one at that bus stop.

Oh, and 6767 -still- has the issue with the announcements that it plays a melodic tune before every stop name. Had it home last night at 23:25 ex Walsall.

Two and half years later, they finally want the feedback for the announcements. Terrible.

Spotted an ALX400 on the M32 Bristol bound yesterday evening with 508 on the blind, I thought I caught NWR on the reg but that could be wrong. Rest break on its way to Somerset perhaps?

Yeah, that would be X798 NWR. It was on the way to the Bridgwater depot.

6767 just threw a slight wobbler on the 529 just.

After that musical bit previously mentioned, the display & audio changed to say 'Next stop Shakespeare Street'!

Wheres Shakespeare Street?

Taking a guess its on the X7 or X8!

No. It's in Wolverhampton...on the route 529! Shakespeare Street is a street off the main road A454 Horseley Fields. Second bus stop from Wolverhampton Bus Station towards Walsall.

Whats with the 'musical accompiment' on the speakers of the Platties?

(As far as the 529 is concerned!)

Its a few little musical notes!

Dont hear them on Walsall's Platties!

I have reported to a WN engineer about one Platinum that does the musical noise.

So the 29 and the 70A interwork then

They do interwork on the certain 29 boards. The board that does the evening 3 has 29s all day until 18:29.

Surprised you didn't notice the other 82 yesterday, which was Kidderminster's 30815.

Saw FJ57 CYS on 82 yesterday in Solihull with paper "82". I just searched it on Flickr and it's 30815. It explains a lot as to why it had paper 82 - I assumed the LED display was broken.
