Perry Barr's Rotas

Kingstanding                                    - 33

Great Barr                                        - 28

Pheasey                                           - 46, 66, 66A, 952 (15A, 15C, 52, 52A)
Pheasey 4 Day
Pheasey L/N

Sutton Coldfield                              - 115, 902, 904, 905, 907, 914

Chelmsley Wood                             - 94
Chelmsley Wood L/N

Hamstead                                       - 54, 68A/C

Perry Common                               - 7, 65

Castle Vale                                     - 67

Oxhill                                             - 16, 101

The ones I do like are the Suttons, due to the verity of routes, areas served and mostly they stay on main roads. Pheasey is one I also like (66 nice route and the 952 is a doddle), but I've only done it while I was on the spares and as overtime since been on a rota. I don't mind the odd day on the 94, but couldn't do it day in day out. I don't mind the Oxhill, but prefer the 16 to the 101. Nice buses on there also. I was on the Perry Common rota for 4 months before Suttons, I like the 65 but not the 7. One reason why I wanted to come off it was because the journeys are too short (1 hour a round trip), I prefer the longer routes, like the Suttons or 94.

Ones I don't like are Kingstanding (always busy and late running), Great Barr (too long route and traffic at the Vale)

I've never done Castle Vale, or Hamstead
What rota is the 38 on @John ?

@John  Yeah thought the 67 would be too busy - could be temporary as you say. Suppose the 7 xxx scanias will be refurbished next.
The 38 would easily cope with a Omnilink and replace the B7TL ALX400 currently yoused on there, only other would be the 46 @Liberator9

I'd have to disagree with his view one Warwick rota, I find it boring on the 37 2 days in a row, it's just a straight road pretty much.

A lot of drivers say the Moseley rota is the best in the garage. I wouldn't know.

He also doesn't seem to like the Widney road. He's right about the 11 though! 11C is definately busier both passenger and traffic wise.
I agree the 11C is definitely busier passenger wise you can have bout 3 buses turn up at the Yew Tree in the morning and they will all leave with standing loads and overcrowded full of school childeren. @MW not sure if you have ever driven one that gets to the Yew Tree at about 8AM.

@2206 @MW - Can you continue your conversation in the AG thread & get this back on topic, Winston

Could be for the new 15A/C.
@AV4248 don't think so that will replace the 66A witch youses 2 Scania Omnilink's the 15A/C will just youse the 2 buses that come of the 66A. The 66 should have some spare buses coming of it aswell?

Interesting move - are they going to replace any deckers at PB?
Well if they are going to replace deckers witch route would they be used on.
All I can see being able to cope with Singles would be the 38 or, the 46.

The 966 is quite an interesting route - quite long but lots of turns - same with the 71 and 72. Think someone who drove for AG once described the 966 as "if you see a turn, take it!" This was it http://wmbusphotos.com/forum/index.php?topic=1596.msg35509#msg35509
As a passenger my faviroute has got to be the 71 @Liberator9

@BU07 LGO are you still or were you on a spare rota? Or straight onto the 934/5/6 rota? As you get a decent variety when on spares here, mixture of the 1/5/11A/11C/31/37 for me.
@MW just wandering what is your faveroute route to drive at AG would be interesting to have that answered from a drivers point of view.

Article mentions bus eventually stopped in Hospital Street. There's a hospital street in Hockley, think the 7 goes that way atm with roadworks on Summer Lane?
@Kevin could of happened on the 7 then though nothing on the NXWM website about it being diverted to serve Hospital Street or diverted at all only other hospital Street in Birmingham is near Resevoir Road only served by the 11A and 11C in Erdington, mentions a Erdington gran though? Don't think it would one of them though as it talks about the managers at PB offering flowers? Possibly the 46 aswel stops nearby to the one in Hockley though it dose not serve Hospital Street.
