CAZ to blame!  The branded MMCs have been appearing on the 4/A for the past few weeks. 

  Many thanks for the help I had no problem finding the right page from settings but I had no access to a key pad or a cursor to allow me to enter a pin or user name without losing the first page again..  The train tracker system is easy to use on a desktop  but cant figure out how to find the info on a smart phone.

You should just be able to tap the boxes to enter a username and password, then the keyboard will appear. 

Fuelling facilities are being installed at Walsall garage as well as Tyseley, but Tyseley isn't ready yet either

I'm asking you the question.  Why do you think that speed humps would damage batteries?  We're all a bit intrigued into why you think that.

Why would that be a problem?  What has the positioning of batteries got to do with speed humps?   Electric vehicles travel over speed humps without damaging their batteries, so why would this be the case for a bus?

  can someone explain to me how I can get free Wi-fi on west mids buses?
   I am a complete novice with smart phones  I have a PAYG chip which
  is telling me I have no credit available. despite paying £10 but I haven't made
   a call/text yet. I dont have access to the net either so where has all the credit gone ?
   I have a BT phone/unlimited broadband facility which should allow me
  access to hot spots  or (at least) free access in my own home but that

Accessing wifi on buses works pretty much the same as in your own home.  Firstly, open up the wifi page on your phone settings, and a list of available wifi networks will appear.  Then, select the wifi network for the operator you're using.  You'll be asked to input some details (name, email address etc) then, you should be good to go.

Yep, clearly states that it's a temporary change due to the ongoing works in Perry Barr. Would be madness to change route numbers. It's really not complicated.

The roadworks are on schedule, and should be completed by the end of the year.

This makes more sense now.  So both routes will be split into two sections:

Section 1 - Acocks Green to Perry Barr
Section 2 - Erdington to Acocks Green

Section 1 - Acocks Green to Erdington
Section 2 - Perry Barr to Acocks Green

I'm confused here.  Is the route actually being split into two sections, or is it still a complete circle with recovery time at Perry Barr/Erdington?

So on the X14 today theyve stuck FD52 GGU....The oldest bus currently in service....in old Arriva livery....and one thats broke down a few times recently too. Great marketing 🤣🤣🤣🤣 Not like there were a dozen red buses they couldve used.....

A Metrocity passed me on the first journey yesterday morning.  They should really be the allocation for it, as they're perfectly suited to interurban work like the X14.

Why not just run it to & from Telford Bus Station?

Arriva haven't axed all their routes  in Telford surely?

Yes, there's 5 routes (4 direct) that run between Telford & Oakengates.  Between Telford & Priorslee, Arriva's 14 service, subsidised by T&WC, covers exactly the same route as Chaserider (Arriva serve Gatcombe Way & Salisbury Avenue additionally) so there's no real need for the X14 to be routed via Priorslee either.

Sampled the new X14 service for the first time yesterday.  Whilst it is a luxury to have a direct connection to Cannock/MacArthur Glen, I can't help but point out the reliability issues that the route faces.  The bus was 10 minutes late on arrival at my stop.  The timetable is evidently too tight for running time, with only 5 minutes recovery time at either end of the route.  My suggestion would be to axe the Oakengates section, as I can't see the need for it, or operate direct to Shifnal, instead of serving Priorslee.
