I saw a bus in Solihull on 2nd May registered YJ13HJC. I have been waiting for someone to report it as I didn't get a good look at it. My guess is it was a long Optare Versa in Clarelibell livery. Has anyone else seen it?

Perhaps not a refurb, but 4111 was on the 73 today having had a repaint. I think it was the last one with the1 branding.

The 73 can be fullly loaded out of Birmingham, If the 17 is running badly, and towards Solihull, if there is a problem onthe 71/72. Also it is fully loaded in the afternoon when the students come out of the Solihull Colleges.

I would like to nominate the 73 Birmingham to Solihull as the least reliable service. The schedule between Yardley and Solihull seems impossible and there is only 7 minutes in Solihull to turn round. The Yew Tree is one of the worst junctions in the suburbs and the opening of the new Waverley School opposite the entrance to Heartlands Hospital canonly make things worse.

5410 failed in Dudley this morning.

I was on Diamond  route 82 in Coventry Bus Station at 1.10pm, when 2155, 2157 and 2156, in that order came through and headed for the garage. They were running on trade plates. I don't know if any more followed as we then moved off en route to Solihull.

Green bus 122 was on AH5 this afternoon.

I was in Dundee on Monday 8th April. 5422 to 5429 were lined up in the garage yard in numerical order, all branded for the 5.
The route needs 7 buses on the main route plus 4 on the short workings from the city centre to Balgillo. They do not appear to interwork. I wondered if 5430 was out driver training but a mechanic said that it had not been delivered. One of the drivers said that they had not started driver training yet.
4123 and 4124 were working on route 5 and 295, now 0295 was on the 137. 296 was in the yard missing a few parts and 299 was also there but apparently complete. 301 waswell stripped for spares.

I travelled on X292ABU recently and noticed that the seats on the lower level were all tip up. This could have something to do with the variations quoted for seating capacity. Unfortunately not knowing about this discussion I didn't count them.

I was in Wolverhampton for some time today, but did not see any Excel's. Have they been withdrawn or just having a day off?

The only BY Scania I have seen recently without NX logos is 1799, which was out on loan when the others were dealt with.
