Some of the Snow Hill line trains would be nice but more than likley too long or not suitable.

I'd love them instead of the 170s, they seem to have far better acceleration

There is one national website... Handily called nationalrail.co.uk

Just reading some of the "unusal workings"... why are they using the new E200s on routes that are normally deckers? Seen mentions of them appearing on the 14, 22/23/24, 45, 60

At last, I've spotted a 'proper' unusual working:

638 running on the 1E into Acocks Green just now  8)

Christ imagine waiting for the 1 in rush hour and seeing that turn up

Doesn't particularly explain why the 126/7/8/9 need to stop there though, don't they stop just the other end of the tunnel by New St as it is?

Was something about a free London Midland network dayticket for everyone who had a season ticket during the few months of disruption

Never been on a Cov Gemini, I imagine that they're slow compared to WM ones, although ours are slow too, but pick up would be better I imagine.

Seemed much the same when i went on one

First / Re: Most Bizzare place to find a First bus.

not related, but an equally weird place to see a bus... We were running a major Scout camp a few years ago at Blackwell Court and managed to secure a one way system in the village and round the campsite. The 145 route was affected and the drivers duly went round even narrower roads than usual, wasn't even a small bus either they put full sized single deckers on

Perhaps showing how silly it can get... Just saw a red diamond on the 301 in Walsall. Can you get any further from the supposed "red diamond" operating area and yet still be on a diamond route in the midlands?

Crewe station is OK for passenger trains, but you miss most of the freight workings because the freight lines drop down to the west of the station and then under the junction to the north of the station.

Last time I went to Crewe I went just outside the station as well to where the freight lines dive under, got the best of both worlds

Saw a few Eclipses on the 4 as well, rather annoying because I got the diamond 4h to merry hill then found out there was an Eclipse behind

Fantastic news on 4001. Had my first experince of the spectra a few weeks ago and i liked them alot. 4012,4009 were the buses. Like most nxwm buses they needed a good interior clean but they were warm and comfortable. Lets hope such a important bus as 4001 will be preserved.

Glad I ain't the only fan of them

There is a chance this has already been answered somewhere else (bear with me, new to the forum and all) but are the excels going to be used in service from Pensnett?

personally i was never going to be a huge fan of these buses, but i have to say after having a ride on 803 i am impressed. The engines are smooth, there's plenty of leg room, there's no rattles or shakes. I have to agree they do seem a lot better than Arriva's E200's and i see them every day.

was on one of these first time today (also 803) from Halesowen to uni, and I have to say I was equally impressed, being a lanky bugger I always struggled on the older buses but no problem now. He flew up Mucklow Hill aswell, can't wait to see one on the 46 along Newton road now
