Hate to say it but if it wasn't for tradition's sake I imagine the 11A/C would have been carved up years ago, a cirlcular service like that can either be hideously unreliable due to having to cross every single major arterial route from the city or timetables to be hideously slow to compensate for the unreliability. Similar with the 8A/C. Cannot imagine any new circular like them working

I've just finished my first driving duty at BC for two years, didn't take the easy option of a new bus on the 900, but took a duty on the 14 with 4151, not sure why you BC drivers moan about the 41xx, 4151 is a lovely bus, superb brakes, only fault is it is a bit slow pulling away on a hill.

Shame London Midland are so shit and cannot be bothered to run any trains to get me home. Don't expect any website updates tonight, currently on the stopper to Walsall with the promise of a replacement bus

Son of a b**** i think you drove my bus back from Chelmsley Wood about half 8. I remember telling me girlfriend at the time "I think I recognise that driver, but it can't be him cause he wouldn't be driving a BC bus"

.... dammit

I did the 20:25 from Chelmsley Wood back to City

Probably was that one. Ah well

This might be a stupid comment but with the new square shopping centre opening and more shops and facilities to open it may be bringing more people into the town and more people on the buses arriving into West Bromwich meaning more capacity is needed on services.

I'd agree actually, caught the bus through West Brom at the weekend and the number of people that caught the 4 I was on from the new shops there was mad. Most of them got off just the other side of the town centre and by Oldbury it was back to nearly empty, but it was very noticeable

The omnicities are as John says above in an unfinished toothpaste livery. By the time they entered service in Feb/March 2008, the livery was obsolete and the silver stripes were not added.

Yeah I just looked at their pages on the main site.... even caught one today and didn't pay attention. Probably because it's unfinished it made it look more like the TWM livery to me

Just thought I'd share, because it's been mentioned before regards the E200s and the E400s, but on saturday I was waiting for the 46 to West Brom, and one went past the other way and I genuinely could SMELL it coming!!! This can't still be a new bus smell, what the hell is it?

Been thinking about this today, and strikes me as a bit bizarre. Two routes from Boney Hay to Birmingham, with the same number, but two different routes? Confusing much?

The Arriva X56 is going, repalced by the NXWM version it sounds like to me

Touchee, didnt realise the X56 was a tendered service, makes sense I suppose otherwise it wouldn't be such a random terminus

Arriva 2 evening journeys withdrawn???? I thought theyd registered commercially in some of the journeys? ? So no buses between cannock and walsall? Wow

Isn't there anything through Brownhills or is that route split into two parts evenings and sundays?

I love the idea of putting modern buses in old liveries, imagine an E400 in BCT cream and blue?

That said, vice versa also works, ie the metrobus in NX livery at Safeside

I thought B10L's on the 18 were a regular thing or has that changed recently?

Only ever really seen deckers when I've been down south brum and seen it

Only the one of the Omnicitys is in toothpaste isn't it? Thought the rest were in TWM livery

I'd only suggest end to end routes to cover those areas, possibly as routes from town or just between outlying areas.

Examples:
- (I know I've mentioned this particular section before) but the direct route Handsworth - Lozells - Aston could have a service through from the top end of Handsworth (Morrisons) to Erdington via Star City.
- The 98 you mentioned could be extended to the city centre
- The 1 already covers a vast section between the circles, as does the 53 (albeit a twisted route)

The most annoying thing is when its raining outside, and some clever person a couple of seats in front decides to open the window by them, so the rain pours in through that window and into my face, and I can't shut the window straight away, because I'm British and too polite

Not gonna lie I'm one of those people, I do it because with all the windows close in the rain the bus gets uncomfortably warm and humid

A34 Walsall rd closed due to yet another recycling plant fire... Bus drivers appear to be making up the diversion as they go along, 51 came from Scott Arms and turned off down Beeches rd, 952 went down Church rd, X51 did a u-turn and is now on a magical mystery tour of Perry Beeches
