Tbh, the new buses at Stagecoach come with leather seats, charger points and wifi anyway... Just in a different colour to gold! :)

4272 is about to have a Euro 6 exhaust system put on so won't be going anywhere other than Birmingham City Centre regularly.

It will be interesting to see which buses get withdrawn when this years new buses begin to arrive and where the new buses will be with much of the older fleet being given some care and attention.
4144 has certainly got a new lease of life in Coventry and feels newer than buses such as 4403 & 4405 which are in a bit more of a sorry state.

Damage to buses and yobbish behaviour is causing us to rethink school holiday ticket special offers:

**Bus Vandalism Damages Child Ticket Offers**

Following serious vandalism on a Tanterton service 35 bus today, Preston Bus is having to rethink the possibility of introducing a Child Day ticket, or even repeating its popular school holiday special offers.

Two boys and two girls used their £1.20 child day tickets today to board the service 35 on Friargate, alighting at Lane Ends. During the journey, they set light to five seats, and graffitied parts of the bus interior.

CCTV footage will be used as evidence and passed to police, with a view to prosecution and invoicing the parents for the costs of repairs and a replacement bus, which could run into thousands.

Today's incident follows sustained yobbish behaviour from groups of youngsters over the time the specal offer has been running, including abusing other passengers, throwing eggs from vehicle windows, and fast food all over seats.

A Preston Bus spokesperson said "It's a real shame that once again, a minority of young people are spoiling things for others. We ran the special offer to make it easier for children to travel during their school holidays. If well received we intended to introduce a child day ticket permanently - but following this we'll have to rethink if it's worth the damage caused."

4986 had sat down out of city with hazards on at the Forum early this evening. A no of passengers got off and waiting at bus stop.

Due to low passengers usage, the following journeys will no longer run:
The Monday to Saturday 1810 Hatton Park to Cubbington will now finish at Warwick Gates, and no longer serve Leamington or Cubbington.
The Saturday 1859 & Monday to Friday 1911 Hatton Park to Leamington will now finish at Warwick Gates, and no longer serve Leamington.
The Monday to Saturday 1926 Cubbington to Warwick Gates.

Route G1
In order to maintain reliability, route G1 buses will now run every 10 minutes during Monday to Saturday daytime.
On Mondays to Fridays during peak morning and afternoon times, buses will run every 8-9 minutes, with existing extensions to Bishops Tachbrook on some journeys.
Additionally, some early morning and late afternoon journeys will now start or finish at Trident Park.

Route X17
In order to accomodate customers better, several journeys have been extend and retimed to provide links to the area. Unfortunately some less well used journeys will no longer run.
The Monday to Friday 1738 Stratford to Leamington will now extend to Kenilworth and Coventry.
The Monday to Friday 1920 & 2000 Coventry to Leamington will now leave at 1940 & 2010 and run at new times throughout.
The Monday to Saturday 2214 Leamington to University, and 2255 University to Leamington journeys will no longer run. To accommodate students during vacation time, an alternative departure in being considered to replace this.
The Monday to Friday 1758 Warwick to Coventry and 1818 Warwick to Leamington will now be replaced by the extended 1738 Stratford to Leamington (see above)
The Monday to Saturday 1853 Warwick to Leamington Rail Station will no longer run.
The Saturday 0657 Leamington to Warwick will no longer run
The Saturday 1545 Coventry to Stratford will now finish at Warwick, and therefore the 1748 Stratford to Coventry will now start at Warwick.
Additionally, there will be some other minor changes throughout.

Route X18
A new later journey from Coventry to Leamington via A46 will now run on Mondays to Saturdays, departing Coventry at 1936
Following customer requests, the Monday to Saturday 1745 Stratford to Leamington will now be extended to Coventry.
Due to reliability issues, the college days 0932 Wellesbourne to Stratford will no longer run. However the 0911 Leamington to Stratford will now leave at 0901 and run 10 minutes earlier throughout, departing Wellesbourne Chestnut Square at 0941.
Due to low passenger usage, several Saturdays journeys have been removed or altered . These include:
1530, 1640 & 1810 Stratford to Evesham
1628, 1743 & 1943 Evesham Morrisons to Stratford
1845 Stratford to Leamington
2220 Leamington to Stratford - However the X17 2114 Coventry to Leamington will be extended to Warwick to provide a partial replacement.
2330 Stratford to Leamington.
Additionally, there will be some other minor changes throughout.

Route X19
In order to improve reliability and connections, the following journeys have been retimed Monday to Friday:
The 0621 Stratford to Redditch will now leave at 0618 and run 3 minutes earlier
The 0720 Redditch to Stratford will now leave at 0715 and run 5 minutes earlier

Route X77
The Monday to Friday 1815 British Motor Museum/JLR Gaydon to Leamington will no longer run.
