Quote from: 2206 on February 12, 2024, 05:23:13 PMI was on 6864 earlier this afternoon and the next stop announcement onboard display was blank while the vehicle was moving. When it came to a bus stop it came on briefly and then it turned off again similar to what @Materplan said above.
I noticed a few weeks ago 7522 was doing the same thing. So it might be a fault on some of the BC vehicles maybe @Tony?

No, what I said above was it was disappearing inbetween stops then all of a sudden it went to the generic NXWM screen before coming back on again only this time the NSA stayed on, which is why I asked if they could be fixed remotely.

5504, 6843 and 6885 in convoy through Weoley Castle, outbound.

Quote from: Ronnoc on February 09, 2024, 02:40:06 PMThanks for the clarification. I'm guessing that 'E' working was to space the services out a little. Those traffic lights outside of University station are causing a bit of a stir for the X21/X22. But when is the X21/X22 not in a stir?

Not to derail this thread off topic too much but yes, those temporary traffic lights outside the ongoing development at University Station are a nightmare. That section can be bad anyway due to the right road and traffic but that makes it worse.

I was kinda hoping a bus lane would be part of the developments but I doubt it.

EDIT: To make it fit in with this thread, 6885 - X21 Woodcock Hill.
One of 4 X21/X22 currently going passed Uni Station outbound.

6857 not tracking on X21.

Quote from: mesub on February 08, 2024, 07:31:44 PMYes for all X22 journeys.

For the X21 it depends on the time since some are scheduled to terminate at University Station or Weoley Castle.

There's only 1 of each. 8:00am and 8:20am from City. Everything else should go to Bartley Green, and only when schools are in.

Not sure if already mentioned but no sound on the NSA for 7521.

Quote from: Mike K on February 03, 2024, 02:30:44 PMIt's odd because of the X prefix, which stands for express. The 65 and 67 serve the Lichfield Road and the X buses in that area i.e. the X3/4/5, serve the Aston Expressway. You've now got the X64 taking the same 'non-express' route as the 65 and 67.

68 would have been a better choice.

I was thinking that. 68 is available which would've been a better choice. Especially as like the 67 it serves Castle Vale.

Brilliant.

Well, that might trigger some PTSD seeing an X64 in City again! Albeit a completely different one.

Wonder whether this one will be just as 'express'.

Quote from: Mike K on February 01, 2024, 08:14:15 AMI didn't say there would be, just stating facts. I understand the reason for the X prefix - when the routes were first introduced  they were planned to be limited stop to the QE but that was changed almost immediately. As regards them being busy and direct, so are the 61/63 to Selly Oak and Northfield, the 50 to Moseley and Kings Heath etc but that's different to being an express route.

If they do ever change these in a future network review, renumbering to 21/22 would be an easy transition.

The chance to do so was when the X20 disappeared. Should've renumbered them to 21/22 then when all the flags and branding needed re-doing anyway.

Quote from: BlackCountryBusSpotter on January 31, 2024, 01:44:00 PMDue to an incident on Moor Street Queensway
Perry Barr Services are terminating at Priory Queensway
Stratford Services are terminating outside the Markets
61, 63 and the Bartley Green Services Terminating outside New Street or TK Maxx
The 16 is using NS8 to leave the City
Also Incident on Chapel Ash Island
Sees Services diverting Bath Road, St Andrews Ring Road, Waterloo Road so there going past Molienux

Is the Moor St diversion likely to still be in effect come 8pm?

Contrary to the above posts, I have seen some good examples of queing. At both the University Station and University North Gate inbound stops. Usually when there's a large group of people waiting.

But yes, generally everything said in this thread is true.

Just curious, can NSA be updated on a vehicle remotely? As I was just on 6878 and initially the next stop would disappear from the screen between stops but then it was taken off altogether (probs changed to NIS) and then it came back on and the stop names didn't disappear anymore.

Quote from: MasterPlan on January 06, 2024, 10:24:59 AMI am wondering whether buses with long-term dead NSA such as 6870 and 6883 will be fixed with this update.

The answer is no. I wonder if they are beyond fixing.

The NSAs on the lower deck screen on 6888 don't fit on the screen after the update. Looks like the text has been made bigger.
