I travelled on 3301 this afternoon from Colmore Row to Halesowen and was quite impressed. The finish is of the usual high standard produced by Wright and the engine seemed quieter and smoother running than the rival 4 cylinder ones.
The engine seemed powerful enough for the hill climbs but a bit slow pulling away from stops until it had built up revs in first gear. This seems to me to be the case with all of the smaller engines. The door interlock seemed to take a long time to release, a problem which also affects the Scanias.

The Reading services are still running but I believe the buses are owned by Reading. The fleet of 6 have recently been replaced, but whereas the previous vehicles were in Green bus livery the replacements are in Reading generic livery which makes them more suitable to be used on Reading services if required. I have seen the green livered ones on Reading services while down there.

Will 3301 be out today please?

It may be that 10th April is the end of the school holidays. That is a time when changes often take place.

Rotala / Re: Diamond Bus - Discussion

Despite all the problems in Redditch Rotala shares are at an all time high, according to Coach and Bus weekly. Shares in all the big groups have fallen sharply, in line with the rest of the stock market. They must be doing something right somewhere..

I am not familiar with all the DDA rules, but S284 has a ramp and the other S reg's have not.

Thanks for the list Tony. It is something I have tried to do for myself at various times. My list for 1.1 2015 is  as follows.
Acocks Green          150.
Bordesley                 49
Birmingham Cent'l   218
Perry Barr               171
Yardley Wood          134
Walsall                    181
West Bromwich        162
Wolverhampton        200
Pensnett                  112
Coventry                 152
Dundee                   110
I think this makes  a good comparison. Incidently I make it 55 B7RLE,s giving a total of 203 as of 1.1.2016.

I would think Dundee will have to replace the remaining B10L and B10BLE's by the end of the year. Some of Acocks Green's may move there.

Thanks Adam. I was wondering if the recharging  facility at the car park is still in use. If not the vehicles would have to recharge at the garage and there use would be very limited.
