Good to see one more of the mcw 400gt saved. I belive the prototype D932ODA still exists all though i understand it has suffered a fire. It would be great if it to could join its two sisters.

With plans for a park and ride facility at New Invention the local councillor for that area is saying one of the main benifits will be a direct link into Birmingham via the x31. Does he know something the rest of us dont? I caught the 0635 from the square today (no i didnt park my car there) and 25 pax onboard. A plaxton centro covering for the usual sacania.

I cant belive how good this coach looks. I remember driving her when she was in the london liner fleet at central coachways. They also operated D932ODA which was the prototype of the MCW 400GT. Only 3 of them were ever built YT buying the 3rd. These were a big improvement on the cummims engined metroliners we were used to has they had a massive gardner engine i  them. I think YT replaced them with scania engines at some point. Would be nice to see one of these preserved.

Just coming in to Birmingham now on the x31. Just 5 pax. I was the last to board at New Invention. The bus was 3810, spotlessly clean and just as last week a very smart and polite driver.

The Bedfords were advertised for sale in a recent issue of bus & coach preservation. I did some driving for them back in 2000. The fleet was well looked after in those days. The Leyland lepords were so different to the Neoplans i had been driving. Graham always tried to keep the same bus  on a regular route. happy days.

I think the cleanest and best presented buses in the uk must be the buses of Lothian Buses in Edinburgh. There buses and staff are always imaculate. The route branding on there buses truly captures your imagination to, with exellent graphics and catchy names.

Have just got off the 0735 dep from New Invention. Just 10 pax on the bus all the way to Birmingham. The bus 3766 was clean and warm and the driver very smart and polite. Its the first time i have used the service usually going via Walsall and then the x51, was impressed, just a pity not more people.

Would it be possible for 1401 to be reinstated to WA?. Lots of surples b10s from AG  are being sent to WA so it would it would be a good last few months for her to return back to her home garage. Perhapes 1470 could also see out her days at WA. I spent many happy hours driving them both on the 301s.
