Saw plenty of 61E and 63Es in town earlier. Guessing more Selly Oak fun.

Before anybody moans, this is just hypothetical curiosity, but would it be possible for any of the stops between Bartley Green and Merry Hill on the 002 to be missed out by the X21 making it limited stop along that section?

Managed to ride the Electroliner today on the 16A into City, first time I've been on any electrics or test vehicles. Seemed quite smooth but not too much different to the other streedecks. What was interesting was the display upstairs showing time, power used and battery, which was at about 48% lol.

Just seen the electroliner in City on the 16A if anyone's interested. 

6906 on the 3 to Yardley Wood this evening - interior displays showing correct route, destination and current time, but no stops were being announced.

6858 was the same on X21 to Bartley Green this evening.

I don't expect that the HS2 works will be that disruptive to bus services.

It'll be the Metro works, next one to cause chaos will be when they have to close Moor Street Queensway to lay the tracks across it.

Hopefully that will be scheduled and planned to take place next summer during the school holidays when it will cause least disruption.

Sorry, yes, I mixed them up. Hopefully any diversions needed for that will be well communicated before time.

Yes but today wasn't because of that. There was a very small section of road that got resurfaced.

X21 and X22 on diversion in City Centre, missing out Moor St and Priory Queensway in both directions and New St inbound. Assuming 61/63 is the same.

So is the X21 but apparently it needs renumbering...

Actually I said if either needs renumbering it would be the X21 in response to someone else's comment about renumbering the 002.

Yes people know where the X21 goes too but it is getting a variation whereas the 002 isn't. 21/21A would identify the two different routes on a Sunday better than both being called X21 similar to the 16/16A.

U21/21 or X21/21 would make more sense than X21/002 I think. As other than the bit between Newman University and Weoley Castle they should be the same route.

Why wouldn't 002 make sense? It's been running for years, pretty sure it's well known where the 002 goes.

Well two of them were streetdecks.

Would make sense to renumber the 002 to 21 so it fits in between Bartley Green and Merry Hill.
A U prefix could also make sense maybe U21/U22

A U is unnecessary. I doubt the 002 would ever be renumbered whilst Diamond operated, but if so there are other numbers that are available, 25, 26 etc.

The main reason for renumbering the X21 as X21A doesn't look right.

But does the x21 have a quicker running as it has X in front of it?

Not really.

46A destination displays have Hawkesley misspelt on them, but at least the stop flags have been updated to include the 46A now.
