6976 interworking on 40/46

I've noticed that on the last 3 Saturdays the 23.20 wb- pheasey (5e) has been a Dudley road branded platinum (6983 yesterday). I initially thought that it's part of an 87 board but it appears not as it starts with the 06.20 wb- Sutton. Seems too much of a coincidence so is that board actually allocated a spare DR platinum?

Saw 2202 at Scott Arms en route to Walsall i suspect.

My 1st off peak travelcard was purchased on 3/8/84 and my haulage notes show the following highlights of the day : 7045 (SE) on the 9, M55003 (TS) on the stourbridge shuttle. Had a look round Foster St garage. 4320 (HY) on the 16 to Green lane terminus for 4516 (WB) on the 406 round to scott arms. Then in the evening 6335 (CR) on the 79, wb to bham. Happy days

Noted 2103 being hauled by a recovery vehicle on the M5 northbound near west bromwich around midday today. Guessing it was walsall bound?
