as reported before I believe the PB scania (ex Dundee) have had new Ticket machines and in use on the 28 (7022/26/27) seen today around 3.45. can anyone tell me if the two AG scanias (7019/20 also have new machines and are they too confined to a specific service?

winston. thanks for the info on NX. The info you gave clearly suggests that tonys coach list,(although very informative) would only apply to NX branded (and owned) vehicles operating to/from a very narrow geographic ,ie Crawley,Drayton, and Stansted/Airport. How many of these vehicles are we likely to see at Digbeth? obviously not the hoppa's, but I'm sure I have seen many Irizar's in the C series ,some of which may have been under WM control for a while around 2004?

I see your point nel111.the reason I personaly prefer the publisher is that I can create ,eg 4 vertical text boxes on one page from top to bottom, then I can insert/delete letters/numbers in any one column without disturbing any script/Phots/info ect, in any of the other three columns.I find that without the aid of 'tables' Its a bit of a pain using word.but as they say,you pays your money ect its your choice

only the XC missing! or maybe a light engine? but where would it fit in this pic? apart from (Poss) glasgow where else might you expect to see 5? Leeds? in a day certainly, but in one picture.? unless its a fake... :o :o :o

I have spent a few hours looking for a handbook specific to NXWM . with no luck I could only find a spiral bound A5 book with just about all other co vehicles operating in the west mids thrown in for good measure which I have no intrest in. I think it costs about £16-99.I imagine even that would currently be full of non-compliant vehs in a few months time?
.What sort of info would you like to see in a WM handbook? I have built up my own  half-fold A5 booklet complete with personal Phots on the front (and back) and runs to 10 pages.if you have a publisher suite on your pc maybe you can produce your own?. I have an XP office 2007 publisher suite on top of windows 7.so it is compatable. Its good for making business cards, notices,flyers/greeting cards ect.although you may need some tuition.maybe tony could produce one,(annualy) if we talk him into it! :)

Long before the b'ham bus station existed most of the warwick/stratford buses ran from a stand in front of St Martins church. If I missed my D7 (or was it a D9) Midland Red service 150 to Henley in Arden I would Walk up The 'slope' between the church and Dale end and be Fascinated by an escapologist. his assistants would fleece their onlookers for pennies at least 20 mins before finaly emerging from a grubby padlocked sack and the process would start again.Happy days.

Q for winston.my original post was are all national express branded coaches owned by NXWM or is the logo carried by any operator authorised to use it?  I think what stu was trying to establish was whether NX have a data base for contracting drivers?

sorry stu-I use google as a default browser but with pop -ups disabled.thats probably what it is-the screen area you kindly pointed out appears blank on my screen. its really not important.

Back in the halcyon days of the joj & Mof they (usually) carried a notice at the front of the top deck. these were "no standing on the upper deck" and "NO SPITTING ALLOWED" . what I find amusing is the word Vandalism never got a look in! I mean, Its almost as though a good old fashioned "gob fight" between consenting schoolboys was more anti-social than carving your name on the back seats!!? :) :) :)

the Nationals-what a ridiculous design that was! if I remember correctly apart from the smoke problem the back seats were always warm as toast as the engine insulation was rubbish? of course if you were a smoker on a winters day you couldn't get there fast enough

As suspected, romilly now has (or did have) units 3303/3304.along with both 3307 and 3308 DM's.
The 'spare' DM 3999 has been disbanded and is no longer running with 3107.Does anyone know what is? both 3999 and 3102 are presently detached at temple mills along with the 'spare' ex domestic carriages .

I have never really been 'into' coaches,(all a bit of a mystery to me i'm afraid) I assume the coach list prepared by tony is for NXWM OWNED buses only?I'm guessing there are/may be many other coach co/operators licenced to carry the Nat Ex logo? I was sure I saw another coach recently )on a '10' plate with the last 3 letters ?KN-definately carrying the NX branding.
