Or they are leased and the leasor is happy for them to be kept safely there rather than accept depressed lease prices, or if not accessible no prospect of leasing them?

From Monday numerous cancellations on Turbostar routes and HSTs removed from traffic (to avoid any complications due to ad hoc service alterations), due to refusal of ASLEF to renew RDW agreement.

They were moved to Long Marston but most have subsequently been scrapped I believe.

To be fair, would there be a competition review on the bus operation? The only corridors NX and Stagecoach compete on are the Nuneaton - Coventry and Coventry - Warwick Uni - Leamington corridors. Stagecoach operate within all the major towns and villages in Warwickshire (except Coleshill/Water Orton).

Its not neccesarily the actual routes they compete on, but rather the fact that lack of potential competion allows the incumbent to raise prices or put in high bids for tenders.

The 242 timetable has a shool-time gap, presumably where the Green Bus vehicle did a school service - if that was the case are Select also covering it?

In Stratford a couple of weeks ago one of their Citaro's, presumably the spare for the 99, was parked up with a board, presumably for a school woking, showing 951.

I was sitting on a train at Banbury the other day while they sorted a signalling problem and idly perusing travelinemidlands (which I see is no more) for the possibility of bailing out what poor inter-urban connections it had.

I was also told a Centrebus Centro has joined the fleet - no idea whether its one of the pair previously with D&G or not.
