The Archive / Audio announcements?
January 11, 2014, 08:51:04 PM
I've seen this post somewhere before, but forgot the name: Who's the person who does the stops on hybrid bus services 22 and 23?

And - in your rightful opinion - who would you like to see, or rather hear, on these announcements?

The Archive / 97 - City Centre Loop?
December 22, 2013, 02:43:40 PM
So, I've seen the 97 display "Loop" before. And I've seen it go up the Priory Queensway, any ideas where it goes/comes from - I only ever see it in the City Centre and Digbeth so...

Unnecessary branding always gets on my nerves, even more so when they take up have of the vehicle livery. Take a look at this: http://wmbusphotos.com/NXWM/4700-4879/4927.html

I'd say they might've just put it as a banner ad, instead of using it a a 'promotion' branding (unless it's still branded for Sutton Lines)

Yes, you've read it right! 'Woodagte' is what the 23A displays (Flip dot)...

For example:

23A - Kitwell
23A - then to Woodagte
(Seen on: 4170, I don't know if this is the case for all tridents...)

I was going to inform the driver, but there wasn't anything he could do about it there and then... What other spelling Mistakes have you seen on buses?

After Repaint, who else has seen 4262's big, BIG rear logo? I think it's the one used for the sides, but it just looks out of place... Then again, quite a few of PB's ALX400s (in NX Livery) are quite untidy, at the most 3 or 4.   It looks misplaced, and in my opinion, quite funny!  ;D

The Archive / Other interests, apart from buses...
October 16, 2013, 08:48:10 PM
So... What are your other interests? You can say here, whether it's a tv programme, games, etc...

Mine's Doctor Who. When i'm in town, spotting buses, i'd like to pop into a shop called Forbidden Planet, they sell all of my favourites there (Apart from buses  ::) )

The Archive / 100 EXPRESS
October 12, 2013, 10:20:10 PM
Much light Edinburgh's Express 100 Airport Shuttle, my idea's quite similar. Route 100 should run between Coventry (Pool Meadow) to Wolverhampton (Bus Station, near St. Georges), via Birmingham City Centre.

Main Stop Points: Cov to Wolves

- Pool Meadow
- International Airport
- Chelmsley Wood
- Small Heath
- then BACK UP to Tyseley, via Coventry Road
- Small Heath, (37 Route, FROM SOLIHULL)
- City Centre (Main Stopping Points, i.e. BullRing, Priory Q'way, etc...)
- Hockley
- Perry Barr
- New Oscott
- Kingstanding / Streetly
- Walsall
- Willenhall
- Wolverhampton (Bus Station)

It might seem like a horrible idea, but in my opinion, i'd love this service... The route number, if not 100, could be 300 or 500? ??? ::)

National Express West Midlands / WB 74 - Frequency
October 02, 2013, 05:40:50 PM
Recently, over the weekend. There has been a bundle up of up to four 74's going into Birmingham. Mix and Match, with no 16 or 75 in sight until after a fourth or fifth bus! Does anybody know anything about the 74's weekend frequency? BTW, the bus stop was HA - Hockley Circus, and it was approx. 2-3pm-ish

National Express West Midlands / New Bus Pass Cases
September 11, 2013, 07:59:44 PM
I'm not sure how long ago it was now... But NX has changed their bus pass holders. I have the red one, whilst my sister has the white ones. I think the newer red ones have been issued to Travel Agents whereas the newer white is an exclusive at the Pavilions Travelshop... I wonder if this is also the case for Coventry!?

National Express West Midlands / 4262
August 20, 2013, 04:54:08 PM
4262 is bust. The engine stopped working... I was on it at about 16:10? On my way home, (route 101). Would it be taken out of service for a while? Possibly... Luckily, there was an early bus which just overtook us, and all the passengers had to alight onto it... As far as im aware, its still stuck there now.  :-\

National Express West Midlands / BC 5501
August 20, 2013, 01:17:39 PM
I think I speak for everybody, when I say "What's happened to the livery?"

See for yourself:

As I haven't seen this bus recently, if anybody has, can you tell me if the livery has been replaced?

Thanks! :)

National Express West Midlands / 997
August 06, 2013, 11:17:31 AM
I'm starting to have my concerns... Is it just me, or does the 997 appear more often on short journeys to Pheasey / Deers Leap. Ever since I was in town from the beginning of the summer holidays, i've noticed more and more 997E on buses, mainly the new e400s.  ???

The Archive / Unusual Workings August 2013
August 01, 2013, 12:15:56 AM
You know what to do... BRB, have to write something in 'Unusual Workings July 2013' :D

I understand that this has been mentioned in a few different topics, but honestly, there should be an opinion on this. Well, what do you think, what other buses should NXWM purchase? And their depot allocations / route they should run on...

National Express West Midlands / Summer Buses
May 31, 2013, 11:34:20 PM
I understand that NXWM has a new Summer timetable, but does it affect the 58? I was waiting for the 58 to Solihull today with my brother, and we waited at least 10 minutes and no 58! All other buses were running frequently... ???
