Anyone know what will happen to these routes? The 23/23a, 62, and 810?

I cant see Arriva keeping the 810 running, sadly ( despite being a busy popular service in its Green Bus Service days), because its a 3 times a day barely used route. They used to run the 62 ( as 862) before and withdrew from it hence Heartlands Bus then Midland stepping in. And I think at some point they ran the 23 ( then known as 19) to Winblebury but pulled out of that. I really dont see how acquiring Midland will give Arriva much of a presence in the WM area, Midland were a bit of a basket case operating tat on lightly used routes....

Saw an advert for the 7 Lichfield-Burton route yesterday, oddly in a Cannock local paper advertising special fares & 'improved' journey times, then i took a look at the timetable. They must be having a laugh whod want to travel on a clapped out Dart ( which i bet theyll go back to using) for AN HOUR & 15 mins when they can get a much better quality bus & journey time on the Midland Classic X12? I bet Arriva are kicking themselves for not running a service like this!

Anyone know of any service changes coming up in Cannock area? Id imagine the Midland Cannock based routes will move to Delta Way, plus theres the rumoured change coming up for the Stafford services, wonder if there'll be anymore

Why do Arriva keep buying these? Absolutely crap buses, ive never been on anything so bloody underpowered the engines/gearboxes shriek pulling out on a flat road and if you heard one struggling to get up Chasetown High St, awful!

theres been 4 low floor Gemini's transferred in to Newcastle, are they just going to be used on Schools like the Olympians? Cos thats a waste. They should go on the 20 to Crewe thats a really busy route. Also how many Volvo Olympians have transferred in? I saw a P-TGD R type and a P reg Royale. Are the G-XRE 's history now? and the M-DUS ones?

Does anyone else agree that Cannocks fleet needs a bit of an upgrade? the BU03 HRE/J/K daf's are in an awful state! the seats are threadbare! Also the Sb200s used on the 1 need a refurb, the S reg darts need to go, swiftly followed by the 51 plate MPDs, they arent really suitable for the 32/33 anymore as theyre not big enough. The B10BLE's ( v reg) are nice buses but they need repainting/refurbishing like V603 DBC was....

Can you board a West midlands bound bus in Cannock, eg 1/2/2A/32/33 Walsall, 68/70 Wolverhampton, X31 Birmingham and buy an N Bus ticket with a small add on? It would be a great help if you could!!!

is there a vehicle shortage at cannock? Today there was a B10B on the 32, that repainted ex wardles Alx200 dart, and 2 of the old scanias seem to have surfaced at cannock R416/7 TJW! There was a MPD on the 1, and a 2 branded vdl on the 32, talk about all over the shop! i didnt see any of the BU51 reg MPDs out at all

does anyone think they will start more services? after all other than the 560 & 1 theres nothing left of the Chase routes they inherited, which is a shame and at 14 vehicles the new west brom operations are a bit piecemeal

Daf DB250 has transferred to CK garage as 'not in use', I wonder if itll be put into service in the near future? Its been a while since Cannock ran a decker!!!

Anyone remember them? Largely concentrated in the Cannock & Wolverhampton area, their once immaculate fleet gradually degenerated into a load of tatty breadvans! I think they got done by Vosa for the state of some of them, it was a real shame

Anybody know if most of these will go to West Brom? Theyre pretty tired and rattly now and too small for the 31/32/33 routes that theyre used on but might be suited to contract services

I wonder if the new enviro200s are actually for the Black Country routes or will they operate in an around Cannock. The buses on the 31/32/33 services are usually mpd Darts and are btween 9 and 11 years old!

Has Arriva recently had some buses transferred to Cannock? Im sure there was a SB120, and an old Scania that id not seen before (3417)

Do you think there would be a market for new/different bus services between cannock and birmingham? Maybe a through route down the A34, or through brownhills and streetly. maybe NXWM could run them, or arriva.
