.
I am slightly surprised there has been no mention of the Birmingham-Lichfield/Tame Bridge rail replacement.
Kidderminsters 32291 is one of the buses on there. Was going to Four Oaks on Jennens Road.

Quote from: SO6597 on May 23, 2024, 07:27:26 PMI don't think the roads mentioned could reliably accommodate buses of any type even if those modifications were made.

I also think there is an issue with Franklin Way being privately owned which rules out bus use. I might be wrong with this but I vaguely recall a period of a few days back in the late noughties where the 27 had to divert during the daytime. It initially used Mary Vale Road - Franklin Way - Bournville Lane but was stopped from doing this by then owners Cadbury. It had to use the full length of Mary Vale instead and turn right onto Linden Rd.
If that stops buses from being able to use it I wonder if bcc/tfwm could take it into public ownership like other roads are?

4860 not tracking on the 94/95. 18:09 95 to Chelmsley Wood I think.

Quote from: PhageyMcPhage on May 16, 2024, 10:06:13 PMAverage speed of buses about 10 to 12 mph.

Average speed of cycling about 10 to 12 mph.

Bicycles in bus lanes shouldn't be an issue.
Stupid comment. No way anyone can cycle as fast as a bus. I've been on many buses that have had to crawl at a snails pace because of cyclists infront.
One of the reasons other than safety cycling isn't that popular is because lots of people of people don't want to arrive at their destination cold, wet, sweaty and tired. it doesn't have the same potential as mass transit/bus lanes do to get people out of their cars.

4939 taken out of service at Nechells Parkway, Bloomsbury Street as the doors wouldn't open from the cab. passengers transferred onto 4943.

New Union Street is closed for reurfacing works tonight.
Service 21 is using the Coventry Ring Road. Taking the exit off by the Railway Station towards Wood End, and joining it at Croft Street towards Willenhall..

Quote from: Jack on May 09, 2024, 10:49:27 PMWhy is everyone so obsessed with the 8 being double deckers lately?

Sorry it's off topic.
I would guess if the 8 does go double deck it won't be until all duble decks are electric at PB.  As someone said the scanias are going to be the last diesel deckers at PB and they can't go under the bridge.

Quote from: 0.5% on May 08, 2024, 11:05:35 PMDoes that include fort dunlop route, and also if the 8 has them will the 28?
They can't run on the 28 because of the 14' 0" bridge in Erdington I think.

Quote from: Celestial Toymaker on May 03, 2024, 05:37:31 PMi recently inquired from the driver when i was over carried by 5 stops on the 80 - the response was "we are allowed to delete stops if we are running late in order to keep time, as long as we do not delete timing points !"
Did you press the bell and make it clear to the driver you wished to alight?

Quote from: j789 on April 27, 2024, 11:23:44 PMIt should cap it at £4.50 via card payments as long as you used NX buses for all trips. You may have an issue if you caught a non- NX bus in the West Mids on one trip though. I'm old school though and would much rather have a paper ticket so would pay cash knowing there won't be any issue then.
If you ask the driver before scanning the card a paper ticket can be issued,
