32259 still has yellow buses stickers and branding inside the bus. Still has yellow buses fleet numbers inside as well.

QuoteI am sure you are aware the Terms of operating vehicles means we have to have systems in place to manage the repair and maintenance of our vehicles.

It would be useful to have some context of this list.  I have spoken to our engineering tonight and it is fair to say, that we have had some of these defects on the individuals buses.  However, in line with our systems the vehicles have either been removed from service until they are repaired or have been repaired.  A few examples would be (comments from an Engineering Supervisor).

30828 - exhaust was repaired last week first I saw of it on the vcr card I had a look and the flexi had snapped that has since been replaced

30167 - this has been off the road for over a month and half waiting for an engine so I'm unsure how this has been picked up however I'm sure the seats in this bus are fine.

It would be useful to understand how recent each of these "defects" are.  It feels like this is an accumulation of things you have potentially witnessed over a period of time.  If so, defects do happen in service.

It is good to hear the vehicles are getting fixed. Most of these happened over 6 months so not all may still be active but like today i was on 30169 and it still has a very slow gearbox.

QuoteIt's a floor levelling problem by the sounds of it. NXWM 4500 does the same. Makes you feel like you're on a boat when stuck in traffic.

Yep feels weird. I can link a video if anyone would like.

I figured i would make a new topic as i couldnt find anything similar. Please add to another if there is one though.

I even consider myself nitpicking here but still.

Redditch

30165 - Broken Retarder (insanely loud, if you know you know)
30167 - Back seats are fully ripped, and revs semi weirdly
30169 - Gearbox takes a long time to change gears, bus redlines for at least 20 seconds.
30503 - Last time i rode it, it was constantly beeping.
30507 - Back of the bus is warm, very much overheating.
30508 - ^^
30828 - Has a blown exhaust, credit were credits due sounds insane.
30852 - Air suspension is broken, constantly goes up and down when idling.
32212 - (bar 32218) 32219 Gearbox is utter rubbish
32219 - No light coverings, and last time i was on it it broke down. Gearbox is utter rubbish.

40625 + 40626 Insane over revving at idle, heard many passengers say god this bus is loud or similar.

QuoteI believe 21217 is on the 202
21217 is on the 52 right now. Very interesting (and stupid) allocation.

QuoteJust so I understand.  Was this yesterday?  was 32219 on the 11 and 12?  as we don't operate a 12 on a Sunday.

Simon
Sorry i should have pointed out, this was 10/02/2024 (Saturday).

30170 MX62 GOA running round redditch on the 57 with displays on Diamond Midlands and 32219 SO65 LRY running round on 11 and 12 with no front display and 30503 BX58 AOY also running round the 57 with Diamond Midlands on the display.

At one point 30170 and 30503 were running 1 behind the other, so back to back vehicles on the 57 had no displays.

Stagecoach / Re: Stagecoach in Warwickshire

Does anybody know what vehicle ran the following:
15:20 AS1 Parish Church
16:45 U1 Warwick Gates
19:55 X19 Stratford

Bustimes shows an open top running them, which i doubt especially for AS1 :).

QuoteI also think the 247A to Alcester via Redditch on school days is open to public use, so its not completely unserved.
247A is one service a day on school days though, so keep in mind it is pretty inconvenient. It is open to the general public but from my experience the double deckers are usually full on the way back. (never been on the way there)

Simon can you comment on whether 20885 will enter service at redditch, as on the latest fleetlist it shows as a transfer from tividale, but also has not mot for over a month?

QuoteNone of the 3 ex Yellow Bus HF13's at Kidderminster have any vinyls next to their destination displays.
Oh i just assumed as redditch's one has it they do as well. My mistake.

QuoteThey do but he said it's a ex 16 branded, so would could possibly be 32312, 32313 or 32314 unless there was rail replacement to Kidderminster,
Oh ok, i thought he just meant it had a vinyl next to the display as most HF13's have the number 1 next to them from there days at yellow buses.

QuoteSaw a streetlite come down comberton hill and into the town centre while I was on 32224 on the 3 to Stourport at the ring road island at 13:10. It had the vinyl by the display so one of the ex 16 branded ones.

Not sure what it was doing as Redditch 32224 was the only bus scheduled to be in service in Kidderminster at that time and Kidderminster garage don't run anything on a Sunday?
Couldnt it have also been one of HF13 vehicles as they have vinyls next to the display? Please do correct me if im wrong but kiddy has a lot of those.

MX20 HVJ's upstairs screen shows midland classic. I dont even know how this is possible as the vehicle never ran for midland classic.

My mistake, it was KXK. Could have sworn it said KWK though but i am sure its KXK looking at flickr.
