Quote from: BrumKev86 on June 01, 2024, 10:15:32 AMA TFL bus has hit a low bridge at Paddington Station, causing damage to the upper deck, not sure of any injuries.

According to the article, the Met police said there were no injuries. Presumably TfL will investigate why the driver of the overheight vehicle turned right.

Quote from: B7RLE on May 26, 2024, 11:17:16 PMOut of habit of doing it, I used by nbus swift pass in Cannock on the X51, and it accepted it. I didn't think they accepted it outside of the county?
I think they are only valid on NX services outside the nBus area.

Quote from: CKD on May 25, 2024, 03:32:26 PM13 should be in use today. 4 buses are needed to maintain the 15 minute Saturday service on the 1 but they only have 1 bus out !
Not unusual. Mondays especially are notorious for having only one bus on the 1 (plus the bus used on the 303 during the main daytime). One driver told me they have to run the full contract services even if it means pulling a bus and driver off a commercial service (ie the 1 or 11) as otherwise they don't get paid. Not sure if that's true.

Quote from: Mayfield on May 25, 2024, 12:10:08 PMThere are 14 vehicles on bus times of which 10 are in use today
Thanks. I know that the last time they were up a restriction was placed on the number of buses they could operate along with certain route restrictions I think. I believe this is the third time (at least)  they've been up before the authorities.

Quote from: Westy on May 24, 2024, 09:29:57 AMSo they have gone then?

The 3rd sentance did confuse me.
What it means is that the fines must be paid before the revoked licence takes effect on 16th June. Failure to pay would mean that if Mr Chumber tried to start up again either under a new name or as the same company or indeed if someone else was to try and register under the name Travel Express Limited then the failure to pay the fine would to paraphrase,  make such an application nigh on impossible.

Travel Express don't have 15 operational vehicles as far as I'm aware as a previous enquiry stated they could only operate eight vehicles. As for the contract services, they operate service 303 as mentioned plus the interworked services 63/64/65. They run commercial journeys on services 1 and 11 plus positioning journeys on the 3 and 529.

Quote from: a4 funcool 2022 on May 22, 2024, 12:50:51 PMNational Express West Midlands 11C Outer Circle has suddenly been removed from bus org
Only the 11A Outer Circle tracks on the 11A to Walsall and Dudley
But it the Walsall 11A suddenly has 27 buses running on it, even if 21 seem to have strayed into Birmingham!

Quote from: Bob on May 19, 2024, 04:50:23 PMI dont know why they dont put em on 35A/36 & utilise the B8s on 74/826/828 instead of having almost  daily multiple failures
Possibly the size of bus required is included in the contracts although I'm not sure if there is much difference between a B8 and an E200.

Quote from: woody38 on May 15, 2024, 08:51:26 AMNo they don't New Cross hospital has a very basic service through the hospital with a very confusing route, buses going to Walsall follow a different route than the buses going into Wolverhampton, the frequency is only every 30 mins. The 59 is a very frequent service but quite a long walk from the bus stops, especially if you have mobility issues.
The reason why the 69 follows a different route around the hospital when travelling to Walsall or Wolverhampton has nothing to do with NX. It's because the internal road is mostly one way clockwise.  Let's Go 65 and Banga Bus 53 do the full loop.

Quote from: BlackCountryBusSpotter on May 15, 2024, 10:18:27 AMThe 39 serves the Manor every half an hour to, you have the 69 and maybe the 9 serving New Cross, coming back the 39 stops opposite the Manor the 38 used to stop at the Manor but it has the 36 to Walsall every half hour to
The 9 serves Bentley Bridge Retail Park and towards Walsall only serves the stop before New Cross (Coronation Road). From Walsall it uses the stop opposite the entrance to the hospital internal road.
