S3 does it in Knowle.

Apart from when late running drivers take a peek to see if anyone's waiting (towards Solihull) and just drive past if there isn't!

450 at the min. going to bearwood in cape hill it heads back to west bromwich then does a figure of 8 by smethwick council house before carrying on back up the bearwood road to bearwood.

when it first did that, it confused a lot of people due to using the same stop in cape hill as the 80 and 87  ;D

Services using QE Hospital 98,99,448 plus Green Bus 64

The 76 and 84 terminate at the QE, so I guess that doesn't count as a U-turn.

Routes serving Rowley Regis Hospital

Also I believe the 282 turns back on itself in Dudley and loops around the Vale Road estate. The 224 does countless loops of housing estates too.

6/6A now do this at i54.

The 526 used to do a long one but I think it's replacement just carries on now.

The 297A at Pensnett Trading Estate.

The 966 at the Fort Shopping Centre is a bizarre one, as it uses the same stop for both directions! You'd think it wouldn't be a problem, as they have those big LED displays on the front, but on Saturday a young couple still got on the one bound for Solihull, when they wanted to go to Erdington.  ;D

There are a few routes in Coventry that do a loop en route:

NXC #3A to reach Whitley from London Road heading to Willenhall;
NXC #5 at both Everdon Road in Holbrooks (both directions) and to reach Torrington Avenue off Fletchamstead Highway heading to Tile Hill;
NXC #6/A to serve Sainsbury's in Whoberley heading to Tanyard Farm;
NXC 8 when serving Crosspoint/Walsgrave Triangle;
Services calling at Cannon Park shops (e.g. NXC 18A, Johnson's 87 and others);
de Courcey #703, 704 and 585 loop around to serve University Hospital before heading out in a different direction;
de Courcey #778 serving Hawkesbury (Black Horse Road).

That's all I can think of at the moment.

This reminds me of the days of the old 247/248 circular routes.  They must have been one of the few circular services which didn't display "Circular" in the destination blinds.  Was either "Stourbridge via Merry Hill and Lye" for the 248 or "Stourbridge via Old Hill and Halesowen" for the 247 leaving Dudley.  The amount of passengers that used to get on the 247 thinking it was the 248 at Dudley was shocking.

Would the 42 at Tipton Railway Station count at all when it's a through journey to Dudley, since the buses have to head back on themselves towards the tunnel under the WCML?

Surprised to see the 9 hasn't been mentioned, at Halesowen Bus Station (from Birmingham), although the same could be applied to the X10

Think De Courcey's recently revised circular 60/61 goes towards the Jardine Crescent (Tile Hill North) terminus and back out again in Coventry.

66 at Star City does that.
Goes up to Star City and then comes back on itself to go to the Lichfield Road.

And 72 at Marston Green.

Also the 28 and 28A on journeys to and from Small Heath. The Diamond 28A does a U turn by the Hospital and the NX 28 carries on down Bordesley Green East till the daytime terminus near Aldi where they do a U turn and carry on towards Small Heath. The 167/168 at Asda Minworth as well.
