Do you think the conversation went something like:-

We need the platform extending at Hednesford

There is a speed restriction sign where you have planned the platform

Oh just build the platform around it!

Conversation 2 years from now...

Well it is higher than 40mm from a level plain ..and in a pedestrian area ...so it is classed as a trip hazzard!!

Yes but it's also a 'listed' speed restriction!!

Best close the station quick....Get the big boys in.... let them descide!

Platform now finished and tarmac applied, just platform end gate to fix

is this part of the upcoming electrification or are all stations getting longer platforms on the chase line cant remember if Bloxwich or bloxwich north can take more than 3 carriage trains
