In 2022, National Express won a contract for a Harry Potter shuttle service from Watford Junction Railway Station to the Warner Brothers film studios. E030 - E033 were purchased by National Express for the service but the operation was subcontracted to Mullany's Coaches.
In December 2024, it was reported that the operation was taken in-house by National Express as it was no longer being operated by Mullany's Coaches.
However, when I was at Watford Junction station on 21/04/25, I noticed that E031 LG22AYB was carrying the legal address of Readybus Limited, Bell Farm, Wexham Park Lane, Wexham, Slough, SL3 6LX. Looking at the VOSA website, the Readybus entry: https://www.vehicle-operator-licensing.service.gov.uk/view-details/licence/286280 (https://www.vehicle-operator-licensing.service.gov.uk/view-details/licence/286280) shows: | | |
BELL FARM, WEXHAM PARK LANE, WEXHAM, SLOUGH, SL3 6LX, GB | 35 | 0 |
WARNER BROS STUDIO TOUR, STUDIO TOUR DRIVE, LEAVESDEN, WATFORD, WD25 7LR, GB | 4 | 0 |
LONDON STANSTEAD AIRPORT LONG STAY, ROUND COPPICE ROAD, LONDON STANSTED AIRPORT, STANSTED, CM24 1SF, GB | 10 | 0 |
So it seems as though the reports of the operation being brought in-house were wrong and E030 - E033 are being operated by Readybus, which is part of The Coach Travel Group.
