Can the daysaver paper ticket bought on an Coventry area NXC bus also be used on NX buses in Birmingham & Wolves?

Was on the bus earlier and the driver issued a paper daysaver to someone who paid contactless, I thought you was not issued a ticket via contactless payment

You can pay for any ticket with contactless
