A recent addition to the Guru fleet is ALX400 LX03 OPY which was out over the Easter weekend on Coventry-International rails. The vehicle still wears it's old Chatham & District Traction Company livery (minus the Chatham & District vinyls) which it wore whilst with it's previous owners at Nu-Venture.
Do Guru still have Bova LSU 113 ??

Yes - the point I singularly failed to make was its weird that a major operator managed to put out a vehicle with an erroneous plate.

That was a DVSA error, not Lothian.

This was at Stafford station this evening, no operator markings or identity but in Thandi livery. Looked tidy but Smokey.

Guru's Darts tend to do a lot of miles! Heard them being used on rail replacement all over the country, and on runs in emergency (one I remember was a Dart doing Rugby to London Euston and another doing Rugby to Liverpool Lime Street a few weeks ago).
EPC was parked there at 16.10 causing a problem for a school coach which drew up alongside and couldn't make the turn and, probably wisely, then chose to back off rather than continue along Railway Street and try to get out that way. I thought it was still there when I came back from the pub around 20.00 and didn't register it being a different one - if it was both have an advert for Stagecoach MegaRider in the first offside window.
;
Other vehicles noted were OW15WKC, who's owner I can't recall, which had both front and rear screens scrolling between "Departs 14.10" and "LNw Replacement to Rugby". No idea what the rationale for the 14.10 departure time was about 13.45 a clearly exasperated announcer had directed Rugeley passengers to the "public bus" and the rest via Birmingham.
;
Orbit E21ORB was there at 12.50 , I assumed having arrived from Rugby, but never heard it announced as going back.

GX53 MWJ, Dennis dart, saw parked up this evening at Coventry rail station, assuming was going to do rail replacement or was on rail replacement standby for the leamington spa to Nuneaton line via Coventry.

Ex Thandi Dart that and the NK56 at Select must be the only two Thandi Darts that probably weren't scrapped.

Would anyone want them after they were ragged around with Thandi on the 37 and 334. Interestingly Thandi got rid of these quicker than the GX53's they had

Thandi never ragged them around, the 37 and 334 are hardly routes you can 'rag' something about. In fact those '56' plate Dart's were probably the most reliable they had compared to their ex London ones.

I did hear something about the engine out of NK56 EPU being used for GX53 MWJ, although I'm not 100% sure about that. To be fair I've not really seen any of the ex Thandi Darts out on rail recently since they've acquired some ex London Enviro 200's.
The Enviro 200's they've acquired are...
SK07 DZN
LK08 DWW
YX61 FYM

A few of the drivers liked to mount the curbs and get up to some speed in Bentley but that might be the Engine maybe providing more torque and Speed than the other buses. They were reliable compared to the E200's I didn't ride them to often but when I did the Drivers did mount the curb or at least one did. I meant Ragged as in thrashed and in Bentley they did get thrashing over the Bridges and if no one wanted St Lawrence Way they got trashed down there a bit to.

A few drivers mounted the curbs because some of the roads around the 334/34 are tight turns, if you have 2 buses meeting on one of them bad tight turns either one or the other bus will have to use the curb, national express still use the curbs they don't intentionally do it but just can't be helped, was the same with thandi back in the days that ran,

They did it on the 37 I know the 34 doubly bad at School times
Guru Travel have acquired former NX West Midlands & Travelstar European Caetano Levante (Scania K360EB4) BD68 TWY.
Why do NX get rid of coaches when they aren't even that old?

To keep a modern reliable fleet on the network.
Once a coach has hit 1,000,000 miles they tend to need a bit more maintenance, have worn seats, and more likely to break down
