what type of buses are operating
Perry Barr are still using Omilinks, 4799/48XX E400, Platinums and Omnicity (4779 on the 94 today and 4778 on Sunday).
Also were a few Gemini including 4487 still out on Sunday, though not sure if they are still in use today. Though 4487 isn't showing as SORN on the link below.

I'm not typing up a list of 900 buses currently not being used, it was bad enough typing all the registration numbers into the DVSA website to SORN them. About 450 are SORN out of the 900 parked up

Does anyone know how many of those 132 will be PB buses? And also which ones will be coming off at PB? Will it be the non platinum deckers such as 4799 that come off?

Westbrom garage,
Rear car park 4700s enviro 400s
Top garage all manner of B7tl volvos , scanias, and 1 4700 enviro from what I can see.
I can just imagine the mushroom cloud over the top garage when that lot gets fired up after months of no action

LOL - Greta wouldn't be impressed!  Seriously though, in reality I expect the services will be reintroduced gradually and ramp-up accordingly.

I imagine that it remains to be seen what impact the period of lockdown might have on active fleet sizes and the buses that never return to service as a consequence.

Has 4812 come off, not seen that one recently?
Are the Omincity and E400 that are still in service - 4779, 4780, 4799 and 4801, as these are the ones that I've seen over the past few days on the 94. Or are there any others?

That doesn't work because about 500 of the parked up buses are not SORN.
It's not worth SORNing those parked after the 1st April until the end of the month

No worries, thought it would save you some hassle.

Yes, those are the only 4 non-platinum deckers currently in use at PB.

Next week at AG, WA & WN extra' deckers are likely to be used with more single decks parked up

Could BY routes be transferred to different depots with double deckers whilst the pandemic is going on, your meant to keep 2 metres and some times on 55 that can prove impossible.

Think 6147 and possibly 6137 as well must be among some of those that have been reinstated at AG.
As think I saw them on the 11 earlier at the Fox and Goose, but they're not on the original list of buses still in use.

The 4/4A have been mostly double-deck from what I've seen this week, so that explains the restoration of more E400s at AG.

I assume with that number of buses now SORN, I'm assuming those speculating that frequencies will soon increase are way off the mark.

From Sunday 10th May 2020 there will be frequency increases on services.
https://nxbus.co.uk/west-midlands/information/service-changes/coronavirus-timetable-update-from-10th-may-2020

55/94 increased to every 20 minutes - combining to every 10 minutes between City Centre and Fox and Goose, 28 increased to every 20 minutes and 14 doubled to every 15 minutes.

So presumably a reinstatement of some of a few more buses will occur?

With about a third of nx buses temporarily withdrawn, it would be interesting to know how many buses the other large operators have taken off eg TFL, Stagecoach etc.

Two thirds are temporally withdrawn, there's 1000 SORN of circa 1520+ NXWM fleet.

An additional 30 will be re-instated soon.

From the LOTS website http://www.lots.org.uk/ (http://www.lots.org.uk/):
"The standing-down of many buses that are now temporarily surplus due to reduced PVRs across the whole bus route network in London during April is around 300 vehicles, not a lot in the context of the overall fleet of over 8000."

But don't forget that TfL is still running mostly a full normal Sunday service (with a few extra journeys in the morning) and with some routes are running a normal Saturday service https://tfl.gov.uk/modes/buses/bus-changes?intcmp=47904 (https://tfl.gov.uk/modes/buses/bus-changes?intcmp=47904)where as the rest of the country is running more sensible frequencies for the number of users.
And they are still charging where as the Mayor has said that buses are now free. Strangely TFL is broke and they want government help.

Think I saw 6999 on the 94. Which I think is one that's back as I can't see it on the May 4th list in the PB Garage thread.
(It was the 16 branded one that's 20 minutes behind 7512).

As I posted above only 50 vehicles currently SORN, so not available for garages to use.

87% of timetabled services to run next week
