I've been looking at some timetables on Traveline for Christmas Eve and I've noticed reduced frequencies on some routes, here are some of them:
X3/X4/X5 - every 30 minutes each (This is the one that has surprised me the most)
9 - every 12 minutes
17 - every 9 minutes
X21 - every 20 minutes
23/24 every 12 minutes each
28 - every 15 minutes
33 - every 12 minutes
45/47 - every 15 minutes each
65/67 - every 15 minutes each
There may be more, but I don't have a problem with this because Christmas Eve isn't the mad busy day that it used to be mainly due to shops being open longer hours. If this means some drivers will be able to spend more time with there families then that's good all round.
With Christmas Eve falling on a Monday this year, a significant number of office workers in particular will have broken up for Xmas hols on Friday 21st so I guess it makes sense. I know my dept will be deserted on Xmas eve.
My business gave everybody annual leave on the Christmas Eve as a treat.
Isn't this the case every year?

No, Christmas Eve was a Saturday service, frequencies weren't as low as this year, but as I stated in my first post I approve as more drivers will be able to spend more time with their families
Anyone know if the WA 29 will be running on the lates on Boxing Day

It'll be operating to a normal sunday service timetable, that's if these timetables are correct as I've just notice Traveline says the AG 1 and AG 1A will be operating to a normal sunday service timetable as the NX website states the 1 won't run on Boxing day (Is that just the 1 or the 1A as well?) -

Quite surprised how late the buses are finishing Christmas Eve, my & most other areas outside TFL area last buses are 7-8pm, even Boxing Day Sunday service from 7am with some routes running through until late night, my area it's special service from 9am until 6-7pm

It's been this way for a good few years now.
The West Midlands area and London are probably busier and bigger than these other places, hence why there's an improved level of service.
Last Christmas Eve any driver that had a duty that finished after midnight received a £50 bonus strangely this year there,re no dutys that finish after midnight here at west brom.
I can only assume last buses will be around 11pm or just before to have all buses back in garage before midnight
Well I had look on diamonds website and found out the last times of the NX and 1 diamond for the 31 and 32 and they are as followed
31: Last Bus 22:15 from Walsall (DIA) and 22:03 from Mossley (NX).
32: Last Bus 22:00 from Walsall (NX) and 22:19 from Lower Farm (NX).
This is for Christmas Eve
https://nxbus.co.uk/west-midlands/information/west-midlands-christmas-new-year-buses
They've started going into detail on detail on certain routes.
Of particular note, during the inbetween period, you can catch an X51 from Cannock to Brum in the morning but not get back at night!
Can someone explain this anomaly ?
What are people in the Cannock area expected to do?
(Tony being one of them obviously!)
What's happening to the routes which are not on the website or are they still adding them

Looks like it in Walsall too.
Wonder how many £50 were paid out then, because not doing it this year has saved a bit of dosh.
(And handed patronage over to the taxis as a consequence, or people will be staying in or supporting their local!)

Well I,m all for supporting your local over Christmas , I am fortunate to have quite a few in easy walking distance so I,ll be making good use of them.
Christmas Eve in brum you only really have the German market , you get good offers on confectionary practically throwing the stuff at you.
According to bustimes.org and traveline the last 94 will be 23.45 from City Centre to Chelmsley Wood on Christmas Eve. There will be extra buses during the day at selected times. This might be wrong though.

That's not the timetable I see on Traveline WM, which shows the last one will be the 22:15 from the City Centre, it also shows the last 55 will be at 22:30.
Though the 11A and 11C timetables show these routes will operate as normal, including the 23:45 11A (11E) to the Fox And Goose, timetabled to terminate at 23:59, and another 11A timetable to terminate in Acocks Green at 00:15. Though they could be wrong, as these timetables on Traveline WM also show the 96 and 1/A will operate on Boxing Day though NX have stated on there website the won't.
The last 94 is indeed at 22.15 not as bustimes.org says 23.45. Wrong information about depending on what website you look at. NX are going to be putting all routes on it's website in due course.
Christmas week timetables are appearing on the network west midlands website.
I notice some of the timetables on the NX website, contradict what is written on the website and what NX are telling people on the Facebook page.
The PB 94, BY 55 and BC 23/24/X1/60 show that the last bus will be at 18:00 on Boxing Day on the Webpage, but when you click on the timetable it shows the last buses will be at the end of normal service.

Qutoted from their facebook page "National Express West Midlands: Sorry both the 23 and X20 last bus at 6 pm"
Edit - AG 4 and YW 6 as well - it seems they're showing and telling people incorrect information for a number of services.

The vast majority are incorrect. Strange, it's not like NX to get their website wrong.

Normal rules apply.
What time is the last ☓21 from City tomorrow? It says last buses around 6 but the timetable says 19:15 is the last one.

What time is the last ☓21 from City tomorrow? It says last buses around 6 but the timetable says 19:15 is the last one.
As has been said above they've wrongly basically put up on just about every route on the website the last bus is around 6, even a few routes like the X1/60, 11A/C, 55/94 and 23/24 where the timetable show they are finishing at around midnight.
So i'd imagine it would be 19:15. 19:15 is the time shown on Traveline WM as well.
e.g for the 11A/11C -
"Wed 26th Dec - Sunday service with last buses around 18:00."
Then you click on the timetable and it shows the last 11A from Acocks Green, is as usual the 23:45 11E to Ward End.

@MasterPlan
From what I saw and heard New Year's Day service was pretty shambolic apart from main rd services majority of the secondary bus services were in garage by 8pm.
West brom bus station full of punters but no services.
What was comical traffic office calling out to the 5,es 40,s no reply just static ,no communication again, I had people come to me in Oldbury where's 12/13 gone, so people got on the 87 to capehill then the 82 to bearwood.
If you read the bus Info on the bus & looked on the website
you would of seen the info for the services on new years day

And infact there is some misleading and incorrect information on their website and the facebook page.
They wrongly put up on there website, for most services, such as the 94, 55, 60, X1, 24, etc, that they were finishing at 6PM, when the timetables showed they were finishing and carrying on till midnight.
Whoever answers the querries on the facebook page, didn't seem to know what time the buses were finishing either, they wrongly answered someones querrie on there telling them the 24 was finishing at 6PM, the link to the timetable showed it was finishing at around midnight.
https://www.facebook.com/nxwestmidlands/posts/2264590596919295
There does seem to be some wrong information put up on their Facebook page at times & wrong answers. At times it seems like whoever is answering on Facebook doesn't know nxwm policies.
I seem to recall recently someone asked about Wa 11 & got told details about the Outer Circle instead!
What about the replies to posts that look like copy & paste jobs?
The amount of times you see a complaint made & you get the reply ' Fill in our form & heres the link'.
Most of the time you never hear about the resolution anyway, as other people might be interested as well!

Not everybody has access to the inter net for one reason or other, library's have been closed over the festive period, not all buses displayed levels of service.
I had to travel from westbrom garage to Oldbury bus interchange in 50 minutes on New Year's Day 30 minutes of that is my RTA break ,the NX app was displaying times of buses that never turned up I walked to Sandwell and Dudley train station by the time a 4 to blackheath turned up , I had 10minutes in McDonald's for a coffee, NOT GOOD.
Next time I,ll have my break in the garage then some one from the traffic office can drive me to Oldbury.
Stourbridge Interchange on Facebook keep posting that it's Saturday service on NX bus, when clearly some services are running to Monday to Friday times and even have white Monday to Friday boards in the cab!!

The 529 was running a 'special' timetable for the rest of this week ISTR.
Should be normal from tomorrow.
