Title: Help with HELEN?
Post by: samash on July 08, 2018, 08:45:53 PM
Howdy Folks,
I'm looking for someone with know-how on HELEN who is able to help me figure out how to program blinds like Arriva in Oswestry and Shrewsbury, with the destination full-height but the via's over two lines between the dest and the RN, rather than the common destination top line with via's scrolling below?
I have attached a few pics to help you understand my request. (Or i would if this bleeding forum wouldn't keep telling my my 215KB file is above the 512KB limit...)
Sam!

Never seen that setup on Hanover. I've seen it on mobitec.

My opinion:

That looks terrible. The layout looks cheap and nasty and all over the place.

I think the best destinations at the moment are the ones on the Diamond Redditch/Worcester Hanovers. Line 1 is bigger, more emphasis. Line 2 smaller.

The only problem with it is... well I'll show you. See this link: https://flic.kr/p/24jQANQ

Destination is so far back on some buses that you can barely see it, and loads of the Streetlites have bent destination boards, but on the old Solos, and the Versas, it's very clear and looks smart in my opinion.

Thanks for your criticism, however that doesn't really help me, I specifically said I don't want to program them on two lines like the tacky diamond/NXWM blinds.

When it's a piece of paper in the windscreen?
