The announcement came out in Mid April last year, I would think that it would be the same this year probably?

Union Rep told me that an official bid was put in for 25 Gold spec single decks for Nuneaton route 48, but whether or not that has been accepted is yet to be announced.
Plans for transfers have been bounced around including 14 MAN E200s to Rugby, some of 36153-76 will be on 55/56/57 with others going off to Corby/Kettering - That is
not confirmed though and is only hearsay, only the bid is official.

Nuneaton, IF it all happens as above, the gold will displace the 60 plate E200s onto the all or most of the work currently covered by the MAN E200s which will go off to Rugby (and possibly elsewhere if all leave). There's already been the transfer of a 62 plate E200 and a Gold Solo out of Nuneaton just recently

The issue with Scania was down to the fans on the buses. The Streetlites are for use on service 1 as part of the Sheffield bus partnership-First already use them on that route.

I thought exactly the same
@Dylanbusboy45 ! Does anyone know where the Levantes are for?
340 vehicles is not a lot at all
With a current fleet strength of over 9000 vehicles that figure each year would mean vehicle lives of around 25 years

Levantes for Chesterfield I believe. Still two 60-plate Elites on National Express there so presume they are to replace those.
The most recent Enviros for Manchester,Birkenhead and Gillmoss are also part of the 2017 order, just out of interest.....

I seem to recall that last year's orders were over 450 in total, including over 250 double deckers. I'd be guessing they want to sweat out the assets a bit more this time.

And not having to replace non-DDA deckers, with all the Olympians and non-DDA Tridents now gone, probably means less new vehicles needed this year.

Because of the rotas. There are 2 route 48 rotas (4 day prime and 5 day prime) but other rotas such as the High Hours rota contains a lot of 48, night rota is half 48s. 4/5 day mixed rotas also have 48s on... it just wont work at all

So you mean that 48 branded buses are used on non-48 routes?
In Northampton X46/7 branded buses are very regularly used on routes 16 and 51 and are just about the only buses used on 50.
At Kettering X4 branded buses are often used on route 50.

There's not much (if anything) that 48 buses aren't booked on at some point in the week, Ben is right about it not working. The engineering manager said a little while back that he doesn't like the idea of route branding (probably why Matrix got the chop)... There was talk at one point of branding going altogether at Nuneaton, it doesn't seem like that's the case anymore though

Look daily.. there are 7 buses required for the 10 yet there is 8 buses that are branded for the 10, so standard practise is to whack the spare 10 branded on the 5/5A or the 48, but I just dont understand why they couldnt keep it (36757) unbranded

The Gold Enviros originally going to Nuneaton have begun to enter service at Porth on the 120/130 and in the process will clear out most of the oldest Darts in South Wales at Aberdare,Merthyr,Caerphilly and Blackwood. Highest I've seen was 26184.

26178-202 are just entering service at Red & White, Gold 120/130 I think so definitely not Midlands ones. Think there might have been some confusion over fleet numbers a while back.
Thank you so much cheese for the up date yes totally agree with you when they were first on the fleet list web site they were down as 26178-202 but I checked earlier and the only ones were on order which are now on the web site are 26202-226 so yes it must of been some confusion regarding fleet numbers but thank you for your post greatly appreciated
I can confirm the examples for South Wales are numbered 26178-201. The last of these are entering service this week and into next week.
